Thank you for that! Amazing ...perfect example as to how much weight was given to Russells blessing and opinion. Being put on such a pedistal like the letter you posted would be great motivation for one like Russell to make many grandious claims such as he did!

That was an interesting bit of history, so was it one of your parents making the disruptions or their siblings? lol
You can see it a few ways - giving family advice when not having family, meddling in family affairs (though it was a question they were asked and so answered) or - and this is my take - they were slightly more forgiving in meeting attendance and not beating people with a stick saying will will attend all meeting no matter what!
