Did the spirit of my dead grandmother call me?

I have spent my entire life thinking jws were right about no afterlife . It was so sad, you just take a dirt nap. I constantly dreamed of my father, in the dreams he had been resurrected. I did not believe in an afterlife so that was all my mind could fathom. about 2 yrs ago I completely changed my outlook on this and now do believe we have an afterlife.

Whether or not your grandma prodded you on to make sure she had a date on her stone, I don't' know.I think it is entirely possible. Jung talks about synchronicity. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synchronicity . I once saw a Seinfeld episode where Elaine said to someone 'that is more than a 'big coincidence' .

My kids were very close to their grandma, it is so good you are too. Thankfully you took care of this, something her son should have done..

    Great experience.

Can some of the naysayers "prove" that this was "just coincidence"? Especially because of the exact amount, $150.

It's the exact amount that makes it a coincidence! Otherwise it's not even an interesting anecdote. (No offence intended, free2beme.) But you're right. I can't prove that the spirit of free2beme's grandmother didn't influence the various parties involved into not completing the gravestone and further influence the cemetery's price list in order to get her grandson to "repay" a loan. It seems a rather petty and pointless use of such awesome powers but maybe dead people have nothing better to do.

"It seems a rather petty and pointless use of such awesome powers but maybe dead people have nothing better to do." If there really are dead people, then they are still just 'people'. Some don't move on. They may carry on w something that may seem petty or even stupid. Who says that they have awesome powers? I think that's an idea from live people that are scared shirtless by the idea of spirits. The dead people that i know have less powers than i do, at least as far as i can tell. S

Anybody who believes that free2beme's grandmother actually manipulated the behaviour of various people in order to make sure he was out of pocket by the exact amount of money he had owed her.

    Agreed.

It seems the same to me. The vast majority of dead people do absolutely nothing at all, while a few of them occasionally make lights flicker or phones ring, collect on small debts or other such behaviour that's indistinguishable from coincidence.

Again, what's so awesome about that, if it she really did that? Live people do that stuff every day. "The vast majority of dead people do absolutely nothing at all," Heh, i was expecting that;) S

No they don't! Living people don't surreptitiously get inside the minds of other people, and cause them to behave in ways that they think are due to their own choices but actually serve the ends of the person who's controlling their mind. Of course, dead people most likely don't do this either - in fact they're probably far less likely than living people to do it, given that they're dead.
