I believe that Jesus Christ is the only true way to salvation, outside of that I dont believe there is any "one true" religion or denomination, mine included.
Is there one true religion?

Yes there is one true religion. Think on it and meditate on it and you will find the things in life and nature you are in awe over. When you learn and appreciate what is around you including reations with family and others. there you have your own true religion. keep it simple and within.
It is but one, but different for all, still one.

I do not believe that there is any absolute true religion. If you are referring to the truth as the Bible states (the usual standard), the closest you are going to get is those groups that study the Bible independently in small groups or alone. Some of the Protestant groups come fairly close to this standard. The Catholic church is too legalistic, but not as blatantly so as the Witlesses are.
If you are looking for absolute truth, the Bible itself is flawed. Much of it is not to be taken literally, but Paul (one of the writers) errantly took it literally. And the early church assembled the Bible for its own needs, in order to gain power. For this reason, if you want absolute truth, you must look beyond the Bible itself and go to the core of morality. Basically, any volitional action that is good for self and/or society is moral, while any volitional action that is bad for self and/or society is immoral. Using that as the core, you are going to come much closer to the absolute truth than what the Bible does.

It's like I told my Mom, there may not be "one true" religion out there, but I can name one that is utterly false.

All religions are run by humans
Jesus did not want us to start religions.
All he said was ''come be my follower'', NOT ''go follow men who claim to follow me''
It was supposed to be a personal faith
Not a religious group trying to decipher scripture
Jesus left the temple and taught in the fields and along the seashore
People wanted to listen to him, he did not tell them to come and listen or else they would go to ''hell''.
Jesus of the bible really is the only one qualified to teach about god / prophesy.
If everyone just stayed home and read their bibles and didn't argue about what scripture means what,
There would be a lot less holy wars to bloody our history.
Just my take on it.
