    My point is pretty simple:

Don't attribute words to people who didn't speak them.

You are correct when I realized my mistake I edited the original post to read:

Jay Leno did NOT write this...

i agree. but, how many of us have misquoted, or were wrong in thinking one person said something, when it was actually another person. i'm sure zeroday didn't misquote intentionally.

Woe, woe, woe....I didn't say he did intend to mislead or anything of the sort.
Zeroday, I am really sorry if you thought I was looking to "start something". Sorry bout that.

This is one of my issues I'm picky about, as sheesh, I come from a clan of people where something like this can make a huge difference in the long run.

Oh nuts, I posted this right when you posted Big!!!

You're fine. I didn't word things very well to begin with, and looking back I can see how I fudged that one a little.

and when you're called out on that, you throw the word "strawman" into the mix.
As hard as I tried I could not find anywhere I suggested I wanted the NY Times banned if you would please show me where I said it I would appreciate it.

I didn't say you wanted the Times banned.

I asked you if you'd like that.

You can answer with a yes or a no.

    LOL!

I think you're original strawman was bigger than mine.

I didn't say you wanted the Times banned.

And why would you even ask such a question if you didn't think somehow I would want it banned. Where anywhere in this thread was anything raised about having a newspaper banned by me. That is your strawman. "So you want this banned zeroday". Perhaps you could reread the original post about us living in this great country which I agree so how can you deduce that I would want any newspaper banned...

Your strawman was the putting of all Dems into one monolithic group incapable of doing their own thinking in lieu of responding to my pointing out yet another masterfully crafted strawman, the falsely-attributed story itself.

In it, instead of attempting to understand the very real frustrations of those critical of Bush and his administration, they are maligned as ungrateful. Complainers. Spoiled brats.

I have to agree with you zeroday, we are sheeple. We are, as a nation, lead along by a media with an agenda, (if you believe that their only agenda is making money that's still an agenda) and we, as a nation, think as a group. We, as a nation, no longer get both sides of the shory and make up our own minds.

    Please, RV.

    Explain the agenda to me.

How do they make more money by criticizing Bush for misleading the country and the world about the reasons for the invasion of Iraq?
