Gopher, my friend you are using my name in vain:
The controversial stance taken by Robin: That obeying the Old Testament's 10 commandments is the definition of goodness.
Has Robin responded in any way? Or was the thread simply to stir things up?
This is a discussion forum, not a preaching forum.
Please refer to this troll as JIG (jesusisgod) and do not use my name that I may or may not share with this person. Reading this garbage is actually making me throw up a little bit in my mouth.
As far as I am concerned JIG's jig is up.

Sorry Robin (the real poster, not the person who started this preaching thread), no offense intended!

Homerovah the Almighty
What only ten things I'm not suppose to do , only ten, if thats the case I'm a living saint, dam it, I thought human sociality was allot more complex than that !
Oh well I guess narrow minded religionists have good intentions after all, if not intellectualism.

Just so 'jesusisgod' doesn't feel too bad, I'll 'take the Bible Challenge':
1. You shall have no other gods before Me. - Well, I haven't worshipped anyone else lately. That's 1 point for me!
2. You shall not make graven images. I sculpted a bust of a Roman guy's head in Grade 11 Art. Does that count? Na, I didn't think so. Point 2 for me! (Damn I'm good at this!)
3. Do not take the Lord's name in vain. D'OH!!! OK, take one point away. Jesuz!
4. Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy. Well I know when the Sabbath is and thankfully I don't have to work that day. Wa-hooo! Point 3!
5. Honor father and mother. Done and done. I'm up 4 points!
6. Do not murder. Does that apply to the fruitflies I killed today? Or just humans? Better give myself another point.
7. Do not commit adultery. I'm not married, so that'd be kinda hard for me to do. Number 6!
8. Do not steal. Does that include cable tv? Sheeeeet, I'm still at 6 points
9. Do not lie. Ya right.....show me one person who's never lied........Still at Number 6
10. Do not covet. Guilty as charged.
6 out of 10 Commandments.....not bad eh?! Does that mean I get to go to heaven??

A man tries to live a good life by following the 10 Commandments. By most peoples standards, even his own, this man is a good guy. But like everyone else he had lied before. He knows just one lie makes him a liar. But he lives on trying to keep the laws of God thinking to himself he is basically good, even though his guilty conscience tells him otherwise. He wonders if the god he believes in that smiles upon him doesn't care about his sin so much. But unknowingly he has committed idolatry making a god in his own likeness and doesn't even realize that the true God who has given him life and breath sees all that he does, says and thinks. This man is on the wide road like most of humanity that leads to destruction. Its great width and length make for a comfortable life until the end comes. Upon his death he wonders why he is being moved over to the side of judgment with the rest of the goats. The man realizes his perdicament and cries out, "Lord, Lord haven't I done good things in your name?" To which the Lords replies, "Depart from me you who practice lawlessness, I never knew you."
Please for your own sakes repent. If you have any questions that are hindering you from seeking Christ lets talk.
