no disrespect to you daughter. she is a precious gift from God. You are the one we are worried about. I think we have all been hurt in one way or another. Please visit the silent lambs website for more information. I know that this activity happens in all walks of faith but within the JW's the child or victim have to prove to the organization that it happened before the authorities are ever brought in. This topic kinda hits home, just truly concerned for any child in any faith put into this situation. Again, i meant no disrespect.

How about any job one might call a career, or any job that requires a college degree? I was surprised to learn that JW's can have government jobs. What's up with that?! It sounds as rationalized down as the no blood doctrine but you can take parts of blood. Weird.

Yes, you can have a government post as long as it's not an elected position.

But what is the difference?

It seems the WT's big beef is not with government service itself but with democracy.
