How does the daily sacrifice apply to today's world?
The daily sacrifice has several meanings depending on the reference. Basically it refers to the constancy of praise or the ritual of the daily sacrifice. It could be considered as "the constant feature" as well. Here are some of those references:
1. Obviously, the daily sacrifice in reference to the animal sacrifices and other sacrifices before Jesus' death fulfilled those. Thus the "end of gift and sacrifice" as a constant feature at the temple ends when Christ died.
2. But Christ instituted a new, constant, ongoing ritual that became a "constant feature" or "repeating" feature and that was the Lord's supper. That has significance because at the second coming, "gift and sacrifice" have to end a second time at mid-week. This only means that when Christ returns and eats the Passover/Lord's supper one last time that form of the "constant feature" ends.
3. Further, the Lord's supper as a constant feature is significant for the "temple organization" that is supposed to come into place for the last 110 years out of 1260-year long apostasy. This is in reference to the prophercy about the "2300 evenings and mornings". An evening and morning makes up one full day, so we are looking at 1150 days, which convert to 1150 years. The time of apostasy is "time, times and half time", the last 1260 years leading up to the end of the covenant period which ends in 1996. Thus for the first 1150 years of the last 1260 years ending in 1996 there would be no true religion in practice, and thus no "constant feature" of praise. A critical representation of that would be the celebration of the annual Lord's Supper that was commanded. But 110 years prior to 1996, that is by 1886, one organization or sect would begin to celebrate the Lord's supper in the correct manner, once a year at Passover. 1886 was the year the first "Studies in the Scriptures" was published, which began a series of publications that shaped the new sect of International Bible Students that eventually became known as Jehovah's witnesses. Indeed, the Bible Students had rejected the pagan Easter celebration that had replaced by Passover/Lord's supper throughout Catholicism around 736 AD. Thus the establishment of Easter Sunday instead of Passover/Lord's supper was the point when the "constant feature" ends and there is no true "temple in its right condition" for those 1150 years (2300 evenings and mornings) until the Bible Students come along and become the temple organization.
4. The second-coming messiah himself. As noted, the "constant feature" is related to the fruit of the lips and praise to God. Thus the messiah, or the prodigal son who would become the messiah, who comes through the temple organization of Jehovah's witnesses would be considered a "constant feature" up until the point that he leaves God's house thus ending his period of praise to god and becoming dead. This fulfills another parallel of the "end of gift and sacrifice" at mid 70th week. Only for the Jews, the 70th week is not 7 years but 49 years. You see, the Covenant Week is made up of 7 days of 70 weeks. This is a period of 70 jubilees. A jubilee is the first year of the next 49 that follows 49 years. Thus every 490 years, which is 70 weeks, is made up of TEN JUBILEES. So if you have seven days of 490-years, then you have a period of 70 jubilees of 49 years each, spanning over a period of 3430 years When 455 BCE to 36CE becomes the third day of this week, then that week begins in 1435BCE and ends in 1996, and the 70th WEEK is from 1947-1996. Thus at around mid-week of tis period from 1947-1996 is when the prodigal son would leave god's house and cease to be the "constant feature."
49 is an odd number so you can break it up into 48 plus 1. If that 1 year was half way between two periods of 24 years each, we could match that year to what the messiah was doing at the time, but it should be relevant to the time when he would have been disfellowshipped from the Christian congregation. 24 plus 1947 is 1971. The PSM (prodigal son messiah) in an attempt to deal with homosexual issues married a 17-year old sister in the congregation at age 20 on "All Saint's Day" (i.e. Haloween night, October 31st). Things didn't work out and disaster struck. He willfully had sex with another man in order to get disfellowshipped in hopes of trying to resolve his identity issues, so was disfellowshipped by year's end. The first time he entered a gay bar was on his 21st birthday, which he remembers because he got a free drink, so he was definitely disfellowshipped by this time. Thus gift and sacrifice had just stopped around this time. The prodigal son was now a "corpse"...
Luke 15: 22 But the father said to his slaves, ‘Quick! bring out a robe, the best one, and clothe him with it, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. 23 And bring the fattened young bull, slaughter it and let us eat and enjoy ourselves, 24 because this my son was dead and came to life again; he was lost and was found.’ And they started to enjoy themselves.
Remember there are usually duplicate fulfillments of many prophecies, one applied to the Christian Covenant and one to the Jewish covenant. So likesie, again, the "end of gift and sacrifice" which is the removal of the constant feature or daily sacrifice is fulfilled by the Christian Covenant when the Lord's Supper ends at mid-70th week at Passover 1993. But for the Jews, where their 70th week is fulfilled in a "day for a year" basis, the 70th week is 49 years from 1947 to 1996 and the "gift and sacrifice" fuilfillment that ends at midweek, or around 1971 represents the defection of the prodigal son from the truth and his becoming a dead corpse until he returns.
Likely the "2300 evenings and mornings" has some fulfillment with the actual prodigal son messiah too. You presume that if he's "in his right condition" by the beginning of the 70th week, which is the fall of 1989. There are 3.5 years until passover of 1993. 3.5 x 12 is 42, so about 42 years. 42 years from 1992 is about 1950, so the ratio is compatible with the approximately time of life for the prodigal son up until the beginning of the 70th week, 3.5 years leading up to the second coming. That is, the messiah himself would not be in his "right condition" until he presents at the beginning of the 70th week, the 2300 evenings and mornins and symbolic 1150 years being 11/12ths of his life before that.
And on and on.... I've gotta go! No enough chronology for now. But you get the picture....

A decent answer to your question should go something like this: Heb. 13:14 For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come. 15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. 16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. You should at least get this much from your question.

The camp of "Lazarus" is separated by a "chasm" from the Rich Man camp. That chasm is a complication of impossible beliefs for those on the Rich Man side. Those on the Lazarus side cannot cross over to them and they cannot cross over to us.
" 25 But Abraham said, ‘Child, remember that you received in full your good things in your lifetime, but Laz´a·rus correspondingly the injurious things. The "chasm" are the things in the Bible that the JIOR/Lazarus class can accept that even those who claim they believe the Bible find it hard to accept. For instance, some from the 1st century being kept alive over 1900 years down to our time, including John and Paul. I've seen both of them in person. So it's easy for me to believe. But how could those who don't even accept that belief? The Bible says some angels would be used to gather the anointed. Well what some don't realize is that some of them actually materialize and pretend to be humans. I'm aware of those materialized angels. But how can anyone without the help of holy spirit? They can't. Thus I'm not believed and considered to be "crazy", of course. Which is fine. But it's actually happening before your eyes, you just can't see it. That's why the Bible says "the kingdom is in your midst" but would not come with great observableness. That's because everything is so secretive and hidden. Those on the inside of the banquet cannot cross that chasm once their inside. What is happening on this new spiritual plane is pure nonsense to those not part of it. It's like too different worlds.
