    Retharen,

First of all, Welcome to JWD.

Wow, you are only 15 years old. You have a whole lot of life ahead of you, so don't do anything that can screw the rest of it up. The witchcraft thing is very dangerous, I would leave it alone for now.

I agree with other posters that you need to prioritize. School is very important, in spite of the JW's downplaying it. You want a successful future, and a university education is necessary now. Don't become a poor janitor to make old men in Brooklyn happy.

You are only 3 years away from making your own decisions. Research and find out what you want to be when you have that freedom.

    Good luck,

    JK

When I started studying with witnesses I was 21 years old. They told me never to take someone's word for anything, to question and investigate everything. Have you read the Question From Readers in the Sept. '07 Kingdom Ministry?

Read it and ask yourself "what are they trying to hide?"

They are not "right" just because they say they are.

There is a big world out there to explore that has nothing to do with JW's or witchcraft.

    Check it out.

We are all here for you and we are all very different individuals with a common past.

Lean on us as you begin your journey of self discovery.

    Where are my manners?

    WELCOME SWEETIE

    Relax, young friend.

The world is a wondrous place.

Proceed with caution and be true to yourself.

Our instincts are often there to protect and guide us, though there is much that leads us to ignore them.

I wish you the very best in your journey through life.

RETHERAN- A warm hello and welcome to JWD from Mr. Flipper & Mrs. Flipper. Sounds like you have a lot of things goin' on in your life. I remember as a teenager when I was raised in the witnesses , it was hard to juggle my schedule to try to do everything my elder dad and mom wanted me to do. It is so hard sometimes to keep up with friends, do homework, go to school , then be expected to go to meetings. Don't know if your mom makes you study for the meetings , but that takes up even more time ! Does she make you go out in service too ? Just curious. Being 15 and still 3 years short of being able to make all your decisions totally makes it challenging for you. I'm glad you came on to JWD because there are lots of people here, some your age and all different ages who have and are going through what you are going through.

As you have seen already with the advice the people give here, they really care about you, and your happiness. I feel that most of what everybody has said is cool. As you use the next 3 years , concentrate on school and getting a good education . As some posters said, also educate yourself outside the witnesses about their beliefs. There are a lot of things they do not want you to know , for instance the hiding of child molestation in the organization and how they paid out money just to keep victims quiet. You will probably have to respect your mom's wishes for you to go to a few meetings here and there , ( I know it's hard! ), so that you will have a place to live until you are 18 . But the poster who told you no one should force a religion on you is right. Some misguided relatives try to do that because they feel we might be destroyed at Armaggeddon , so they have to save our souls, so to speak. But, be at ease my friend, there is no Armaggeddon, it's not real or gonna happen. So, don't beat yourself up with guilt , you are smart and searching for something. Just keep looking, and keep your eyes open, and keep learning , and the answers will come to you , in time. Be patient give yourself time, you have time on your side, as JK666 said, you have your whole life ahead of you. So hang in there my friend, keep your chin up ! It will get better in time, everything with time . Peace to you, welcome, and if you ever want to pm me or Mrs. Flipper, you are welcome to do so
