    Genesis 11 is plain silly.

God is worried that these ant-like humans will somehow become omnipotent if they can build a tower that reaches to heavens? This God is paranoid. Doesn't he understand the laws of science, that humans could never build something to reach heaven -- they'd eventually die from the lack of oxygen or their building would tumble over.

And they weren't building it just to be out of reach of a flood, because God (short-sightedly) promised to never bring such a flood ever again.

Verse 7 says that languages were created instantaneously by God. (I'm borrowing an objection from www.skepticsannotatedbible.com here, but I think it's really valid.) Linguistic studies have shown that languages evolved gradually over long periods of time. By long, I mean even longer than 4,300 years (the length of time it's been since the Noachian Flood allegedly occurred).

I think it was in "Mankinds Deliverance" book or a Wacktower.

The Faithful Slave suggested that if God had not confused the languages, man's scientific progress would have been so rapid, that we would have annihilated ourselves, before Jehoobie got the chance to.

Similar reason for the Reformation - had this not happened the governments would have turned on religion before God's timetable said.

Both these are in the publications.

...and yet Babel does not mean confusion like the JW's would like you to believe. It means "gate of the god(s)" - star gate? You need to read the Sumerian texts. The "gods" are nothing more than Et's using humans for slave labor... The "gods" did not want the star gate reopened. Read the book of Adam and Eve, Book of Enoch, etc. (including the vedic texts) and you get a clear picture that all is not what it seems...

:Why, now there is nothing that they may have in mind to do that will be unattainable for them." (Genesis 11:6)...This is taken from the account of the tower of babel

It should come as no surprise. God was pissed off when Adam and Eve obtained the ability to know the difference between good and evil. The Bible says so. He punished them and the entire human race for it.

Why then would anyone be surprised that God hates high-rise office buildings, too? Just think how much God screwed up mankind by giving us the German and Russian languages. It's harder to come up with a better torture for humans than that!
