I was just in Rostock, Berlin and Szczecin, Poland this past week. Would have been nice to see him. Still in Denmark and will be headed back to the states tomorrow.
Thanks for that GXJW. Very interesting.

rub it in will ya?
Well, he did expend considerable effort in defending a chronology he knew to be false. (See the Watchtower book Aid to Bible Understanding, under the heading "Chronology" and Crisis of Conscience pp 20-27).
Nobody is above criticism.
Don't have my copy of C of C in front of me, but as I remember he admitted his mistake.
Thank you Changling for the update..on the Utube video Ray looked great..wish I knew German,,seems they had a good televised coverage there,,,so nice you got to talk with Cynthia,,she is such a dear,,I worked with her in housekeeping at Bethel in early 70s,,she was of the humblest, open hearted gals there,,the other GB wives were more aloof on a personal level. Ray Franz was certainly of the more humble of the GB,,but his text week was always more stimulating, as most of the GB comments were just repetitious of the existing literature that we already studied anyway. I am glad Ray is able to be out and about, he's about 82 now I think.
Did Cynthia believe Ray right away or did he have to endure the unbelieving mate syndrome that many of us are?
Did she come around to leaving the dubs right away? or did it take time?
Thanks
I personally think Raymond Franz has done an excellent job at helping expose the Watchtower Society in his own method and time. Who of us could have done what he did before the Internet came along? We apostates today have it so easy--post on a forum, start a forum, create a web site, write e-mails to newspapers suggesting that they better expose the Monster Society, and the like. It costs little or nothing. And we can reach millions of people from our home or office within minutes, or even seconds. True, we gripe when the forum goes down or lags.
Raymond Franz, however, had no Internet to use. He had to print hard copies of each of his books, and this cost him money (which he had to recoup when selling them). The books then had to be ordered or bought, usually at great risk that Brother Hounder would catch you buying or borrowing them. Many ended up in the trash. Plus, if you think having the forum down for a day is bad, try taking several months to write each book and a couple more months before they are ready for sale. He had no idea of the pedophile problem, because that information was not readily available to him. He also had nothing to do with the NGO issue (that was in the 1990s, and Franz left the Governing Body 10 years before).
Not that Raymond Franz was perfect. No one is. We all make stupid mistakes and have a biased point of view, especially in issues like religion. But, within the limits of what he has experienced, he wrote his books in a well-balanced style. Facts that he has seen first hand were put in the book, like the bickering that takes place within the Governing Body. He admits trying to right the Watchtower Society only to be outvoted (remember, it takes a 2/3 majority to change anything and he was often the only one to vote pro-fixing the problems. He did a good job exposing that, and that's what he had the best inside knowledge on.
As for the other issues, others have had more experience in. Danny Haszard has had first hand experience with having parents sacrifice health issues for the Kingdumb and being ripped off by the cult, and he is exposing that. Silentlambs is doing a pretty good job on the pedophile issue, which is their specialty. Freeminds, Watch The Tower, and Six Screens of the Watchtower all expose many of the tricks that the Watchtower Society uses to mislead, each slightly differently. Beyond Jehovah's Witnesses is also a "switchboard" where people can go to various forums and topics. Watchtower Information Services goes into modern issues and lets people comment without registering. And, there are the many people right here on this board that do their own integrations between these sources and their own personal experiences. Despite the hardship of having went apostate before the Internet started, Raymond Franz did a very good job and is to be commended for it.
I don't think he knows it exists.
Yes he knows it exists. Because when anyone on here has written how the Book helped them in life I phone & tell him.... I read it to him
He needs encouragement the same as all of us do....I am not called MOUTHY for nothing
