When you talk to him, tell him it changed my life too. I'll write him and tell him myself one of these days. Took a while for me to work up the courage to post here- writing to Ray is the next hurdle. Its good to hear that he is still out there making the case. I was a kid when he experienced what he experienced. But I always wondered about him- even years later at Bethel. What could make someone on the GB decide to leave it all behind?? What could someone that far on the inside do to get so far on the outs with the org that they would hunt him down and DF him for eating with someone. (Even when I was 10 that sounded fishy.) The curiosity eventually killed the cat.... and here I am.

WTWizard - thank you for your comments. I made a copy of them just as a reminder of what Ray went through. I was entrenched in the organization almost as long as he was before I started my fade and I've recently experienced severe repercussions from certain members of my family. I can only guess how much more difficult it was for Ray being on the governing body. It took real courage, and I'm amazed that he got through it apparently without any bitterness.

Lkr -I think that is a great idea he would be pleased to get the letter.
I dont think think he tours the USA he is only touring in other countries to get his book released in their language ...I see you live in the States I am sure he wouldnt mind a visit from you when he returns. Many do go & see him. Cynthia & Ray are very hospitable.... Of course you have to make arrangments at our age -we have to get ready- he is older than I too,,,, LOL

Mouthy - Without getting too personal, can you answer the question posed earlier? How did Cynthia react to the whole situation? Was she discouraged with the organization before they took steps to have Ray removed? I've also wondered about that. - Nellie

When I first saw this topic, I was afraid to read it fearing that he had health issues or worse. I am glad that he is able to travel to Europe on this tour. Now, HIS books would be worth using MEPS on!

I really dont know Nellie I have never really asked her. when we chatted there were lots there ,we had supper & when I was speaking to he we talked about our Arthrities.... LOL She was telling me what herbs to get that had helped her. I know she began to recognise hypercritical actions in the WT along with Ray! Why dont you drop her a line & ask her . I think getting mail from those we help is very upbuilding....

I don't have the answer to that question. But I did speak with Ray one time and asked how Cynthia was treated when he was DF'd. He replied that they didn't do anything about her. Technically, she was still in good standing although not attending meetings.
