Sorry to be so dumb. I just don't understand what the new teaching is.
I understood pre and post 1995 but haven't been able to get the gist of the latest.
Could someone please explain it so a low intellect like me can understand, please, please.

Has wonderful new light been thrown on the "this generation" teaching yet again?
Or do you mean the idea (printed this year) that the anointing of Christ's brothers no longer necessarily stopped in 1935?

Actually I was referring to the new "light" some of the posters spoke about, that emanated from the AGM last weekend.

I have actually read that whole thread, and it was, in fact, the reason for my question.
Sadly I'm a bit of a retard and still don't completely understand. I was hoping someone,
more endowed intellectually than I, would explain it to me.
But thanks for doing that for me.

Oh you meant that annual meeting. Until they put it in writing for the JW's to see, the WTS leadership will always be able to fudge what they said. Once it's in writing, it becomes new light.
If the WTS goes about getting its people excited about dates, it may work temporarily because so many of their current members weren't around for the 1975 fiasco or read in a 1989 Watchtower that the preaching would be done 'by the end of the century'.
Ultimately they'd be setting themselves up to look foolish again. That's why I hope it happens.
My take is that the new light will reveal that "this generation" spoken of by Jesus Christ is to apply only to the "anointed."
Since, according to the 5-01-07 QFR, there is no longer any cutoff date for selection of the "anointed," "this generation" could stretch out indefinitely.
I hope this makes the water a little less muddy. I never believed the explanations about 1975, "this generation," and the sheep and the goats, anyway.

I also have read the threads on the new light. It does not makes sense. Perhaps because I no longer think in jdub, for what ever reason it makes no sense.
