  It seems like all around me goody types are leaving English and going Spanish. Whats the deal?...One told me he loved it cause he did not understand anything for 3 years!!!!!....oompa

  It's a nice diversion.

  Most are bored to tears.

  Learning a new language and experiencing a new culture can make the drudgery that is the life of a JW just a little bit more bearable.

  My sister and her nauseating husband did this about 8 years ago. I think it was to escape a congregation that could not stand them any more!

  That reminds me, my Ex and that so called SISTER that was staying in his home for a week or more, went to a Spanish cong. in a neighboring town, because they didn't want the local(JW's) asking questions. *heehee* Is that the going/growing trend now Oompa?

  I started getting the WT's in French once so at least i could work on translating during the meetings. It was more interesting that way.

  Learning a new language

  I wondered what was going on....

  My elderly father bought the Roseta Stone language course in Spanish. He says he wants to learn it, and is thinking of just going to the Spanish congregation to help him learn faster. My father is a DIE HARD JW, and I couldn't figure it out. Now, I know. He's just plain bored too.

  That's probably a good trick to add to the fader's tool kit. Transfer to a congregation where they can barely even ask you any questions about your dwindling attendance.

  Learning spanish is neccessary if you really want some prebrainwashed immagrants to victimize. Most south of border citizens have been force fed the catholic poison religion and are receptive to the garbage information presented

  I am learning simply because our new neighbors and friends arent leaving anytime soon
