Have you checked with any of the travel websites? There may be a nice cat lover who could help you out. . .or you may be able to barter a couple days touring about for the cat transit. . .I would suggest you check out some of those folks. If you had a day to show them around when they eventually get to Britain, it might be a nice exchange or they may just get your kitty to Paris just out of the goodness of their heart(It is amazing how many kind and wonderful people there are out in the 'world'-and they travel!) There are risks with this, but you may be able to find someone you could trust or that you have some vague connection to. . .I encourage you to keep on thinking creatively. I met some wonderful people on a cruise website that I met on my cruise with my mom. You may be able to find someone going on a tour or who runs tours?? Or a website for cat lovers that travel(hey, they have sites for everything!)

Post on Craigslist. Have the person send a refundable deposit, ID, etc.

I don't know whether this is possible but can either of you afford a credit card and pay the shipping bill on it in USD?
The exchange rate is exceptionally good and you should take advantage of it if you can. I've seen at least one major high street bank offering 15 months 0% credit on new purchases as long as you send them the minimum payment each month.

450/15 = 30
Can you afford to pay £30 a month?
DO NOT USE THE CARD FOR ANYTHING ELSE!!!
If you think you might be struggling before the 15 month period is done, look to switch to another card which offers 0% on balance transfers.

OMG...It's been such a long time since I've checked this...I can't believe it. I had hopes that she would have been here before Thanksgiving. I posted on craigslist and someone emailed me almost immediately. They said that they would be willing to send references to me, since that was one of the catches, I don't trust just anyone ya know... but then they never sent any, and when I emailed them back again, I got no reply, so I'm thinking it was just a scam to see if I would send money for her trip without checking into the person first. I have gotten another email, but the person isn't coming over till January and Tigger's pet passport expires at the end of December, so I would need to renew and it's horribly expensive. So if I can't get her over before her pet passport expires, then I can't get her over here at all, unless I get a better paying job I could get a small pilots uniform and maybe the fake ID, but I think it would fall all apart whilst trying to take off ninja...nice try though...thanks for the idea (it was good for a laugh if nothing else)
But I'm not giving up just yet. I'll keep checking and see what comes of it. There has to be something right??? It's so easy to think that there are so many people that go to Paris, and probably many from Chicago...why wouldn't someone help someone else out like that? I know I would! It's an animal for petes sake. Thanks for the support though and the ideas. I've already been down those routes, but again, I'll keep trying and come what may!
