What is this all about? I'm sure it's legitimate, but someone with knowledge of how things work in New York

may be able to explain the amount of money being spent by the WTB&TS on lobbyists. Here's the link:

Wow this is a great find! I'm gonna call the lobbyist tomorrow as on-air interview and ask if they would mind telling what capacity they were being used in as lobbyists for the WT.

I found this, in the last column, clicking details. Looks like they are greaseing some palms, with alot of donations from R and F. I wonder what kind of spin, that they put on this?

They enlisted the help of a lobbyist to help fight for religious freedom, as true Christians in the "last days" are supposed to do!

This is a NY gov. website, so I'm thinking the term "lobbyist" is someone who speaks to the Planning Dept. or other government agencies on your behalf. I don't want to jump

to the conclusion that it's anything other than legitimate, but it seems like a lot of money to me. I just thought someone who knows how the New York City government works

would know what these types of lobbyists are for.

Why don't they just "Pray and wait on Jehovah?"

I was involved in grass roots lobbying in California for a lot of years. Paid lobbyists are used by people and corporations with a lot of money to get their own way. Lobbyists spend their time visiting legislators and trying to get them to vote in favor of their clients. They snow legislators with information, they actually help to write the changes in law, they pass out money to legislators - donations to the political parties or the election campaigns. They subvert democracy and should be outlawed.

No more trust in Jehovah, they finally realized he does not listen.

If they get what they want then, how they love to brag how Jehovah blessed them, little do the rank and file know what the watchtower does behind

    closed doors, maybe bribing officials.
