During the baptism talk in a recent Assembly the CO delivering the talk apparently made this statement:
'You have often been warned about bad association outside the Congregation - we want to warn you about bad association within the congregation. Some might approach you with misinformation about JW's they have picked up from enemies of the Truth and try to confuse you do not listen to them talk to your elders about them.'

Hi HS: The Society started talking about 'bad association' within the congregation in the late 1970s, but it was always confined to those whose conduct did not conform to JW standards - or 'worldly' with bad attitudes - as they would say.
Now it appears that they have taken this a step further, and applied any questions or concerns that some JWs might have as though this would make them bad associates, possibly influenced by so-called 'apostates.' Fascinating! They are in more of a seige mentality than they were when I left, and it seems to be getting worse. Thanks for the posted update. - Amazing

I heard that at one of the last assemblies around here, there was a talk but nobody taking the big swim.

Circuit Assembly attendance - 1,658 on Sunday. Baptisms - 2. Both young and raised as JW's.
