Although it might disturb us, I wonder how many of the R&F can actually see this for what it is, mind control?

The December 1st QFR has yet another example of their control. This time it's the matter of prayer. Not just what are you allowed to pray for, but WHO are you allowed to pray for. Given that prayer is actually your innermost thoughts, it' s clear that the WTS seeks to control the thoughts of its members i.e. mind control.

Darn good advice. Of course, we wouldn't want to get these people confused with those who have picked up true information about JW's, in which case the wise course would be to examine the information closely and act as your heart guides you.

now this presents some serious problems- let me share with you a exp i had while serving as an elder

I live in the Wash DC area we call it the "INTERNT Capitol of the Earth"

anyway the last elders meeting i had with the CO almost 4 yrs now - he discussed back then the role the net is having in the territory

the avg home in the Northern VA area is reported to have 1.2 PC per household esp in Fairfax county - well what was happening was alot of studies could be started but would DISCONTINUE due to the net

family and friends would download a ton of jw artricles to give thier friends who were studing and then they would ask the jw on the next study to read the material and explain it

and the poor untrained jw would respond the only way in which they were trained- he told us of friends getting up and just leaving, others refused to touch the printout, etc the vast majority of the material were DIRECT QUOTES from WT pub

but due to the years of INTENSE training to reject anything not printed by wt the jw were making Damn Foools of themselves

so he told us that the friends needed to be better prepared to address these issues- not likely though-

i personally know NONJW that i have dealt with who keep copies of printouts of jw dogmas like TRANSPLANTS- ALTERNATIVE SERVICE, ETC ARTICLES right at the front door - so when jw stop by they can invite them in and ask to explain WHY GOD CHANGED HIS MIND on this Bible Based Teachings-

these guys love it- so for me i focus very little time or energy on CURRENT jw -i work mainly with those who have not bought into the FDS DOGMA WE SPEAK FOR GOD THEREFORE YOU CAN'T QUESTION US-

one of the biggest problems for the AVg person when studing with jw is they DON'T KNOW WHAT QUESTIONS TO ASK -----it is only after baptism do you then know what questions to ask BUT THEN IT'S TOO LATE
