The colors of the autumn leaves is spectacular this year. Some years half the trees are bare by the time the real color show starts. This year everything is happening at the ssame time giving us a unbelievable show

It's Autumn (Fall) in the UK, too, and many scenes are similar to the piccies you've posted. It's Claire's favourite time of the year, with all the changing colours. For me, spring is the best!

Story alert, Sorry Lady Lee, won't take but a second,
My daughter had to gather 15 tree leaves for a Biology project. (extra Credit) Tell what tree, scientific name, and something about them. So of course I know Pecan, Sweet Gum, Catawba, Bois' arc (horse apple) and Bradford Pear. These we have in our yard. I know nothing else about trees. Then I thought, OM-Goodness, Old Folks!!!! They love trees!!!
So off she went, with baggies, and little pieces of paper to 2 neighborhood older men. She was back in 20 minutes, with leaves, names, a smile on her face, and the men, just loving that they could be of service to a wonderful young lady.
One that she got was Chinese Tallow. Very pretty.

I'm a spring person too. I'm fascinated to know who else gets to view the spectacular color change. When I was in Winnipeg the leaves just turn yellow or brown and drop off the trees. I missed the colors so much.

Ottawa is the capial city of Canada so they do their best to keep it clean. But in Winnipeg and Montreal (other cities I have lived in) they also did a pretty good job of looking good.

I love Autumn because for me it represents a period of reflection and change - I have always felt the season shift between Summer and Autumn, its extremely meaningful and powerful.
