If you see that something a poster states is actually inconsistent or inaccurate, will radar go off in your head to call the person on it? I think we should be more aware, not paranoid or judgmental, but more alert to phony posters or those that try to spread inaccurate information.

I just did that a little while ago, and now I'm wondering if I'm just being paranoid and if I actually came off rude.
I don't want to be this suspicious. It's like I was after 9/11... I saw terrorists everywhere! LOL

I think it's the most beneficial course of action.
I also think it should be done in the most respectful manner possible.

I also think it should be done in the most respectful manner possible.
Hello Nvr, I'd be interested in why you say so? Here is my opinion.
Respect and tact are not always the best policy.
Respect: There is a certain level of repspect I have for everyone before I even know them. It is based on them being a fellow human. That level of respect will either wax or wane based on their actions after I meet them.
Tact and respect do not necessarily go hand in hand. Rather tact is warranted or not warranted by the situation.

Oops!
Anyway, IP_SEC, I did not mention tact.
You did.
And as for respect, you've made it clear in your "refutation" of my statement that we're in complete agreement.

. This is the internet, there are all kinds out there. Every board I have ever visited for any time had posters with multiple aliases. Espcecially the financial boards they will have one weirdo with 15 aliases telling everyone what a wonder George Bush is. Maybe its George Bush himself. The internet is entertainment, its like tv or the movies. So if some had their emotions teased, thats good entertainment. It's like a good book or movie. Just dont send money, your address or your social security number. Myself I spent over an hour reading from start to finish the Trevor debacle last night at 2 am. It made me think of great litterature by Jack Kerouac and Earnest Hemmingway. Someone should edit the tread, maybe throw in a few earlier Trevor and Linda threads and publish it as a short story. In fact since Trevor goes by Dead poet, it poped in my head that this whole episode was some sort of Literary episode in the vein of Jack Kerouac. It's a living work of art.

This site is for more than just entertainment. Helping people recover from the effects of JW practices and teachings is very important stuff.
So if there are things said in relation to JW's (either pro- or anti-) that isn't right, I believe we should try to set the record straight. Mistaken assumptions or details about the JW's would be cause for JW apologists to criticize this site, and then we'd lose credibility to people who come here needing good information.
Now if somebody puts out misinformation about the Liverpool soccer team or Britney Spears, I don't care very much.

Did you find the wedding picture of David Hasselhoff and Paris Hilton (standing in for Linda and Trevor) entertaining? I certainly did!
