I really don't like it when posters create threads about PROOF that Russell was a knight templar and similar things that are unprovable. They write so much as fact that unless someone called them on it, they would have you believe everything they say is truth.
Correcting Misinformation

Especially when it is heresay. I heard such and such and he/she said it was just between us ok. Then before you know it, the whole world hears about it, it becomes hearsay and the gospel truth.
When you invoke someones name that's supposed to make it the truth. So and So, you know between us ok. He said next year, just wait, it's confidenial for now, but soon I'll be able to let you know.
Misquoting, misinformation, he said she said, that was then, this is now, they changed that, where were you when this information was given out. Your not up to date. Did you hear the latest? On and on.
Correcting the damage from misinformation is not so easy to do. Still if we know otherwise we should clear the air and put things straight.

When I reported incorrect information via my mother, as soon as I realized what was misunderstood, I clarified it.
If I see a poster write things that stretch possibilities, I begin to think critically because their words may ot have the ring of truth.

I like FACTS. To grow our own knowledge while at the same time healing or being deprogramed is important. I somthing is obviously wrong, I would post "my opionion" that it may be in error and what is correct.....nobodys perfect...oompa

Hey Minimus,
Case in point: I asked of some who went to the annual meeting if 'the anointed ALONE make up the generation' of which Christ spoke. They replied that that was not at all what came across in T.J.'s talk [though they were confused as to his actual point].
So, Minimus, does this put an entirely different spin on previous posts? Do 10 different members of the audience come up with 10 different interpretations?
I guess we'll just have to see it in print, won't we?
New light or old darkness?

Blondie seriously questioned that my hubby was refused in to field service for years. After intensive questioning she decided we were dealing with some rogue elders. It's all right to speak up if something doesn't sound right.

I like facts too! And when 10 people hear anything, they might have a different interpetation from within the group. But if I see someone posting info that is inaccurate, I'd much rather point it out rather than allow things to be expressed incorrectly.

Minimus, I don't believe that you're a red dot with sunglasses. I suspect you of being a green dot with bifocals.

If you question something someone posts, you should confront it head-on.
Why not?
There can be no harm in getting either a clarification, affirmation, or a nullification, unless you prefer to believe your own interpretation or possible misunderstandings, which does more harm than good.

Regarding questionable posters, sometimes it's hard to nail down a fraud. You've gotta wait and notice the inconsistencies.
