It amazes me that religious leaders the world over misinterpret the message of Jesus and construe(?) all this date nonsense into a "thing"

Its pretty simple, Jesus simply wanted people to let the ideas of the world, that tell us who we are , just let those ideas die and truly look for the truth of what we are inside so we can be reborn as a human .

When that is achieved true understanding of ALL religions is possible True understanding of God and how we relate to God can not be found if we don't understand something as fundamental as what we REALLY are

We go through life believing what we are told what we see and hear.

If we can just stop for a momement and consider that maybe we havent really looked in the right place for THE answer we can then begin some serious SELF INQUIREY

You can't do a good job with a tool that you don't understand , How can you live a good life with a self you don't understand

We learm what we are capable of what our personality is what we like what we don't like , but that isn;t what we are we are the part that does the realizing

To blame the recruits for not knowing everything about the Organization is exactly how the Watchtower
would like us to think. How can one expect a “newbie” to know all the hidden details of a religion that
fails at so many of its predictions? Not possible.

Hence the WT marketing strategy of the members only Watchtower, subtlly suck them in.

If it wasn't for 1914 JW's wouldn't exist they would have been a blip on the radar of history.

I am always amazed at all the famous and intelligent people who join cults,

seems there is no rhyme or reason why some people get sucked into them.

I think maybe it's blind hope for something better.

Those men 100 hundred yrs. ago were really trying to build their own kingdom with all of the controlling dominance within

They succeeded purely on the ignorance of the people that supported it and the greed for power of the ominous masters in Brooklyn

C.T. Russell and was a judge for 4 days Rurtherford........Watson

For some time, I have thought of Russell as the PT Barnum of the newer religions.

There were a lot of things happening in the invisible world around 1914 - 1920 that only the JWs were aware of. How convenient for them that these events were not verifiable by humans, that must be one of the oldest tricks in the book and only total morons would fall for them. They intended to make people believe in something totally unverifiable.

The passage of time has confirmed that nothing unusual happened during those years. The world carries on much as it always did.

One thing about the borg is that the leadership at the local level (i.e. elders, ministerial servants and pioneers) are told to become "all sorts to all people" as "Paul" supposedly said in 1 Corinthians. Thus, you can take a college grad, or a teen, or a struggling young family, and they will hear what they need to hear to believe that JW's have the truth. Of course, they will be told 3 totally different things.

I find it fascinating, (and another untenable item found in the bible) that Paul made no bones about the fact that he switched the tones and content of his message to Jews, Greeks, etc etc etc. JW's do this exceedingly well. They are taught to "adapt" to the person. Forget truth, logic, and consistency. Their goal is to merely get you to become a JW. The end justifies the means in their stupified view.
