    Dear Friends,

I have been trying to figure out what kind of lights that are being used to outline this home. They look like a round bulb...are they? Where can I find them? Do any of you know?? I have searched everywhere and am still unsure. I really want to outline my house like this one and my driveway..any of you experts have any suggestions?? Thank you in advanced!!

    Sincerely,

It looks like the old style tear drop lights we use to hang on our house. I'm going to have my first christmas tree in 32 years I'm thinking of an artificial black tree with black ordaments and black light lights... Hey I'm an atheist I need to make a statement...

    Dear Zeroday,

Thank you so much for replying. I think it maybe that the round shape of them may be an illusion, and that they may indeed be the shape you said. Good luck to you and your first Christmas in 32 years!

    Sincerely,

Any single light source, seen from a great enough distance, will seem to be "round".

Out here, so-called "icicle lights" are very popular - short strands of lights hung from rain gutters the way an icicle would hang. For outlining a house, I would suggest that the smallest bulbs you can afford to get would give the most delicate effect. LED lights are great for this, but they are mucho buckos.

here's a discussion of popular Xmas lights:
