I would just thumb my nose at him and prance around saying "Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah.... you're not the boss of me!" What don't they understand about being SERVANTS?? They are to serve the flock, not rule it. Whatever happened to "not lording it over them"? Too many people get carried away with having a position of authority or a title attached to their names. Just look at all the crooked cops out there! The same thing applies to religious appointees. Usually they are ass-kissing myrmidons with little to no education who have nothing else going for them who crave recognition and power. My dad was an elder for a couple of years and he saw this very thing! He got tired of being associated with this group of men who "lorded it over" the flock and abused their positions of authority rather than using their positions to help people. He stepped down from being an elder and to this day he refuses to serve as an elder even though he's in a congregation that has a shortage of elders.

The fact is that there is way too much of this going on in the congregations. These hounders reducde the congregation to robots. You have to do everything in a precise way, and any deviation is a sin. One of the pieces of Kingdumb Sxxx even has the line about no right or left turning we dare make.

All they do is hound. They cannot do anything right. Instead, they give advice that doesn't work, hasn't worked, and is never going to work. They give the same crap they gave the last person, which did not work. They never solve problems. Instead, they create them. Rules about white dress shirts and wire rimmed glasses--I wonder how many people wasted money replacing non-white dress shirts and those demonized glasses, only to find out that the next month they are OK again. And the 2-door cars. I wonder how much money is wasted on 4-door cars when the person can get by just fine with the economy car, and the extra gas wasted running the bigger car. No education--means witlessness.

It's OK to give counsel and advice, but only if such is meant to help people. If all you are doing is trying to impose your own personal preference on others, it is outright wrong. Every piece of advice you give like this should come with a reasonable expected benefit that the person will get if they follow it (and getting more people to join is NOT a benefit). For instance, it is OK to give people advice that drive whole blocks in second gear to shift into a more appropriate gear because it saves gas and wear on the engine. But, it is not OK to advise people to get a car that only serves the congregation and not the user. If you can reasonably help people and explain reasonably why it will benefit them, by all means make the suggestions. But it is wrong to hound and use the leadership to control others under you.

A long time ago, these so-called leaders were Congregation Servant, Watchtower Servant, Literature Servant, Theocratic Ministry School Servant.

Then at some point (I can't remember exactly when...seems like maybe late 60's early 70's), the Society changed their titles to Overseer.

Now if you use the example of a cotton plantation or sugar plantation, the overseers were the ones that used the whip on the poor old hard-working

slaves. This is what this organization has become: Overseers brow-beating the Slaves to work harder and do more for 'da massa. (For those that

don't speak the language, that's "master")

Right after the Public Talk in the lobby of the hall.

    No witnesses.
