    The "adventist" idea of some future generation (cf. JosephMalik), or the philosophical concept of timeless generation (cf. SadEmo) are certainly less harmful if not better warranted philologically.

    Well I did not think that somehow the thought was original. Someone else must have reasoned it out as well. This is not a difficult thing to do. The ones thinking that this was a failed prophecy are the ones with the real problem.

    Yes. The Christian interpretation of it goes back to the point of when Israel is once again established as a nation. That was in 1948. So it is the generation that began in 1948.

    The scripture refers to "when you see the fig tree put forth its leaves"... The fig has previously been used symbolically as representing Israel
