You might want to discuss the 3 to 5 year rule for elders who commit serious sins, keep their mouths shut, and then come forward but don't have to sit in front of a Kangaroo Court. Make sure you emphasize how vital these "gifts in men" are to the Org, and that Jehovah blesses this fine "arrangement" for one-time philandering elders to not have to go through the same humiliating procedure that the unwashed, less-important R&F do.

    ....And then you could say:

" My Bible-trained conscience will not permit me to pretend that this kind of hypocrisy and double-standard is acceptable to God. It doesn't align with my sense of justice, so I cannot believe it aligns with God's justice.

"This has been the way the organization has been for a long time, and its' not going to change, no matter how long we wait on Jehovah.

"I'm tired of waiting. I am announcing my disassociation from Jehovah's Witnesses effective 10 seconds from now."

... Then you could head straight for the door.

Congratulations! Just think of all the "confessions" the elders ought to be making here. I hope that makes you feel a little better!

    Ink,

First of all, welcome to JWD!

This is always an awkward moment. I say congratulations! Hope that you are okay with it.

With your new found powers, maybe you can just not show up for your talk? Try it, you may like it.

The happiest day of your life is (buying a boat, MS appointment)

The second happiest day of your life is (selling the boat, deletion as a MS)

See how some things just work alike? Congrats!

Congratulations inkling on being released from that privelege burden. I was recently deleted as an MS as well, well the BOE told me I would be anyways. I don't even know it was announced or not, but really don't care.

Now you have time for more worthwhile activities.

how do you feel about it? A sense of loss or are you glad? What are you going to do next? I like Gopher's idea, but then I like in-your-face stuff. If you do something like that, make sure someone video tapes it! Anyway, glad you are here.

The same thing happened to me, in fact they sent an asshole to a book study i was suppose to conduct without telling me and then they expected me to read at it, "i told them no I won't and I won't pray so deal with it and left." They just dont know how to treat people but what do you expect from people who just sit there day in and day out and swallow everything they are told without checking anything out.

Oh, and I got assigned a #4 talk: "Why confessing to a priest is unscriptural"

Make sure you close your talk with: "So as we can see, it is wrong to confess to a priest but you are required to confess to the elders."
