One of my cats has ruined my sleep for the last 2 weeks with incessant meowing from about 5am until I get up

Said cat is now banished from my room so I can get uninterrupted sleep!

This video kinda reminded me of her:

Does it remind anyone else of their cat?

Don't get me started on cats! My daughter just got a cat and besides his sweet disposition, he pees on everything. Including my daughter's pillow and her side of the bed. He's banished from the bedroom too, but for different reasons.

Ewww - not on the beds!

My cat sometimes pees on the front doormat (most times though she does use her litter tray), but she's a rescue cat with unknown history. I think that at some time, she has been allowed to pee on the doormat so she doesn't think its wrong.

Did you feed your cat immediately upon getting up? My cat trained me to get up early too! Finally in my daze before 5am I realized the little devil had ME trained not the other way around. Took a few days of getting up and not feeding him first thing for him to realize that he wasn't getting any food until I felt like giving it to him and it sure wasn't going to be before 5am!

carla my cat only eats dry biscuit diet food so I leave her plenty in the dish which she can eat when she wants, so for her it isn't a feeding thing!

She tends to go like this between new moon until full moon a cat's version of moon madness I guess!

Satanus - lol! my other, well-behaved, extremely laid-back cat is almost like that at times!

Clam - love the pic! Thanks

oompa - yes, nothing's too much for our little luvvies is it!

I actually get revenge on my meowing cat as she has to have two tablets every day - and I can't hide them in anything soft because she can't eat soft food! We therefore engage in a daily wrestling match and battle of wits - I have to rugby tackle catch her, force feed her the tablets whilst trying not to get my arms shredded, and make sure she actually swallowed the damn things as opposed to hiding them under her tongue and spitting them out 5 minutes later! Sheesh, and she thinks I just do all that for fun!

Easier way to give a cat pills, wrap her up tight with a bath towel like a swaddled baby and they you only have to fight the head. Then pressure on each side of the jaw with one hand and the jaw will open easy, the other hand pops the pill in as far back on the tongue as possible, clamp mouth closed and hold until you can't anymore or use the eraser end of a pencil and get it further down (that's kind of tricky). Some say stroking the throat will make them swallow. My cats are masters at hiding pills in their mouths to spit out later. Dumb animals, by that time the spit in their mouth has started to dissolve the darn thing and no wonder it is such fight! I know human pills taste awful I can't imagine what cat pills must taste like after sitting in their mouth for a long time.
