My husband and son are gone until this Monday. I'm kinda freaked out and let the dogs sleep on my husbands side of the bed.

Doors are locked, windows secured, phone by my side. I finally get to sleep, and at the ungodly hour of midnight the door bell is ringing and the dogs go nuts! I panick and then get mad.

I go to the door, (there is a small window at eye level) I can see a tall dark figure standing there looking in....of course the outside light is burnt out so I can't begin to determine what kind of jail escapee is standing at my front door. The dogs are growling and pacing.

I yell, "Who the hell are you and what do you want?"

There was dead silence and then I hear....."MOM, I've got to go to the bathroom, NOW!"....turns out my older son was on his way home from work and couldn't wait until he returned to his own place.

Needless to say, it took me another 2 hours to get to sleep.

    argggg!

    DJK,

Yeah, I reminded him of the benefits of peeing in the bushes vs. waking up his mother at midnight!

I watched part of the movie Saw on TV the other night. Scared the buggers out of me. Had a hard time sleeping all night.

I wouldn't dare watch anything scary being alone. I even have to turn commercials off for Halloween.

LOL, I remember when I was living on my own with my daughter. She was about 4 years old at the time, and I kept a baseball bat next to my bed. ( My mom insisted )

I woke up about 3 am one morning to a dark figure standing next to me, and I quick grabbed the bat, and then my daughter yelled,"It's me mommy"...

My heart was going a hundred miles an hour! Needless to say, the bat was removed from my bedroom.

I still keep an aluminum bat next to my bed...ever since I confiscated it from my little brother 15 years ago when he came after me with it...

me thinks he had an urgent emergency in which bushes would not suffice.
