    Changeling

I'm not very good at throwing these virtual parties, so you may need to step in and help. Now I know you are a

classy lady and love the sophisticated and elegant parties. I do to, but tonight we are going to GET DOWN and

have a good old-fashioned Texas Beer and Barbeque Fest in my concrete floored humongous barn that I have cleared out for two-stepping

and some line dancing. The music will be a bit loud, but I live outside of town, so noise is not a problem.

I need help decorating the barn, planning the menu, selecting the music, and greeting the guests.

Everybody bring a country song when you arrive, new country or old country...it doesn't matter. Even if

you are a rocker, tonight you are going to have a wonderful time as a sh*t-kicker...lol.

Okay, the guests are arriving. It is a perfect night...not too cold and not too warm. The big doors to the barn have been opened up front

and back. All along the southest side of the barn, a long table has been arranged buffet style. Several of the JWD men arrived early today

to help with the barbeque. My gigantic fire pit smoker outside and just behind the barn has been cooking all day. You can smell the brisket,

ham, and links still smokin'. Inside, square bales of hay are arranged around the perimeter and a platform has been set up at one end of my

60' x 80' barn and a live band is playing. There's also a stero system set up for playing music others bring.

Look who just showed up!! Wow!! She's getting up on stage and is getting this party started. She's a close personal friend of mine and has

agreed to come meet some of ya'll and hang out. The music gets cranked up and everybody is filing in.

Hi. I came early to help decorate. I brought some chickens with me. They lay green eggs.

I have to tell you, this city slicker came up the other day and asked me where was the rooster. I said I don't have one. He looked at me so funny...and then he said...well then how come your chickens lay eggs without a rooster.

I tried hard not to laugh because he was perfectly serious. I said "well, honey, chickens don't need a rooster to lay eggs." He looked at his friends to confirm this. They just shrugged.

He says to me, "well then, what's a rooster for?"

I replied..."in case they have to move a sofa, I guess."

I'll be back with a song later. I think one of your guests will be bringing a few bales of hay and I heard someone mention a tractor pull.

I think it someone might even be bringing over a couple of monster trucks for a mud ride at the creek. I hear the road is washed out pretty bad. Great for some mud wrestling drives.

So glad to see you Tula and your chickens are more than welcome. Just don't let them get stepped on when

    we start the line dancing.

We have all kinds arriving now. Some are dressed like gentlemen cowboys. Don't tell anyone, but these are

my favorites. I love that clean cowboy look. You know, nice fitting Wranglers, western cut leather dress jacket,

starched western shirt open at the neck, cowboy hat, and those $500 cowboy boots....Ummm. Sorry, I'm digressing.

Ladies are looking lovely. Some have on the long skirts with western boots good for dancing. There's a Shania look-alike.

Edited to add: Several are gathering around the keg. I do have some nice wines available also, if you're not into beer.

Just tell me what you like, and I'll see if I have it.

Ohhhh how fun! I stepped away for awhile and here you are throwing a party, this is too cool! Looks like a scene out of Footlose! YeeHa!!!!!!

Ok, first of all, about the chickens, are you serious? No rooster? So, eggs are like ovums, unfertilized? Where do chickens come from then? Do the chickens have a choice of what kind of eggs to lay? Do the unfertilized kind taste different? Please help me with this!!!!!

Song: My favorite country song is:" I Hope You Dance", I always tell my kids that that's how I feel about them.

Can we have little tea lights strung all over the barn and in the trees?

Oh and about line dancing: I usually avoid it because I tend to spin in the opposite direction of everyone else. If one of you would keep and eye on me and give me a little nudge I'd be most appreciative.

Thanks, so much guys! You have made my night!

Changeling, all the eggs you buy in the store are unfertilized. Not all birds are like that, chickens are.
