I care about people more now as an ex-JW than I ever did as a JW. Then, people were numbers on a time slip... Now, people are friends, family, friendly souls in parking lots, old people who need help reading shirt tags or carrying something and so on...

Certainly, jw are not really selfless, in order to the everlasting life and perfect body in paradise they go through the world for publicize their teaching. What they have done for the people are only telling someone else that we have the hope to live in paradise. As for the troubles in life they advised me just to be endurant. You do not need to do anything except praying for God.
