Do Elders pay attention to who's missing the meetings and how often?

So did no other congregations 'take the register' at every meeting!
You've got to be kidding me! Was the one we went to the ONLY one? Did no other elders have to tick the names off in a book to check who was there, like school?

Totally depends on the elder or the presiding overseer may make it a point for the elders to keep an eye out. I find that mostly it depends on the elder, we have one that just sits and looks at peoples reaction to the the talks, he looks around at the brothers all through the meeting like he is suspicious, really is a horror out in field service, especially picks on the single sisters, they have no man to answer to. He's such a control freak.

I have been missing meetings for 20 years now, and I have NEVER gotten a call from anyone. LOL
