Hey RESTRANGELED- How ya doin'? I agree " The Haunting " was freaky for me too ! I could not get over those little ghost kids flying around whispering , " Help us ! Help us ! " Kinda freaked me out !. And what happened to Owen Wilson getting slammed into the foreplace or whatever ! Jeez ! It did really have a eerie spookiness to it ! Hope you are well ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Flipper, I don't have answers to your questions about The haunting, but as far as I go, Just called the cops,

20 to 30 high school kids not dressed up, one came to our door based on the guard dog warning, while the rest stood in the street screaming and laughing. This moron stood there cracking up... No costume, no bag......just out to be a jerk. I hope the police catch them because cars could be ruined, yards teepeed etc. We have had no children here today...too much rain.

My dogs seem to sense my worry and are both laying in front of the front door.

    Take care.

"The Haunting" (1963) is as good a demon/ghost movie as you'll ever see.

    "Alien" Terrifying

    "The Shining" creepy creepy creepy

GAWD- Restrangled, please be careful ! With a group of 30 kids just hanging out, playing pranks, things could progress from bad to worse real quick. Keep your dogs next to you. Hope your hubby is there !? Peace out, Mr. Flipper

I'll check in tomorrow morning....but I have the distinct feeling there is a whole lot of bad going on in the neighborhood....

Like I said the police were called and my dogs who usually sleep in the family room are now roosting at the front door.

    Husband is home....thanks for asking.

GREGOR- Good to hear from you. I never saw " The Alien" , I was in dubville in the mid 80's when that came out. Self righteous ex wife wouldn't let me watch it. I love the Shining as I feel it has one of the greatest one liners of all time with Nicholson's , " Here's Johnny ! ". And as regards , " The Haunting " from 1963 ? Don't know about that, have watched the latest one from a few years ago, but may I ask who was in that movie Gregor? I'd like to find it and watch it ! Let me know ! Thanks !, Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Wish I could remember the name of it.

Must have been in the 70's...I guess.

    Story:

A family move into a house with a bricked up fireplace. Husband takes the bricks away, and they find out that it is a doorway straight to Hell.

At night, hordes of these little 1 foot tall demons come out of the fireplace and try to drag people down into hell.

The wife gets caught one night, and they drag her towards the fireplace, but she manages to snag a camera along the way. Whenever she sets off the flash, they let go of her for a little while, but not for long.

I don't remember the ending even.

Gotta be 25 years ago that I saw that movie and it still gives me the willies at times.

Wish I knew the name of it.
