I, too, was chased away from a house by a bunch of geese. These were not wild, though, as it was a farm house. They behaved just like a guard dog might; completely ignored me while I went to the door, then attempted to corner me at the door once I was there. I managed to work my way between the honking nasties only to have them chase me down the driveway all the way back to the car. I was barked at by plenty of dogs, too, but the only one that ever actually bit me belonged to a sister I was picking up for service.

My mom when she was much younger told me the story of being invited in to a home lived in by 3 guys. The one fellow was interested and asked her to come back to his bedroom so that they could talk.
She said he had a Doberman......and that dog stood between her and the bedroom door with his eyes trained on her, his hackles up......he never bit, never growled, but made sure she didn't make a bad move.
Thats a Doberman for you.
To go into that situation she now admidts was one of the supidest things she has ever done going door to door.

A brother and myself were chased by a german shepherd to the chain link fence . We both jumped over the fence, Bibles sprawling, bookbags crashing on the sidewalk ! I got over but the other brother was hung up on top of the fence ,stuck ! I pulled him over and the dog narrowly missed him ! We laid on the ground laughing our a$$e$ off !
Also, I was working rural territory and this billy goat came on the front porch and tried to eat my watchtower and awakes in my bookbag, I tried to shoo him off, but he wouldn't stop ! Then he got pissed and turned his head and rammed my bookbag with his horns, ripping a gaping hole 6 inches wide in it ! It's a good thing I had my bookbag in front of my midsection or that goat would have ripped a hole in my groin! LOL! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

No, but one time angels held two chows at bay at the end of a driveway. We had a house in our territory that had guard geese too. No one went to that door. Smart homeowner!

I was never bitten in town, but when we did country territory, I simply refused to get out of the car if there was anything bigger than a weiner dog out there. My name's not Daniel and I guess I jes' didn't trust Jehovah to shut the mouths of viscious dogs.
I do remember working with the PO once in the country. A little dog came up yapping and snarling and bit him hard on the ankle so he kicked it half way across the yard.

I've always had a good sense of Dog Behavior and never had a problem.
