I am WAY TOO OVERSENSITIVE AND TOOK MINIUMUS' QUESTION WAY TOO SERIOUSLY!
Boy did I wind up in the wrong religion! Dark Dark Gloomy Gloomy always thinking about the troubles and sins and the Devil. Yikes. It made me crazy. I could not get relief.
I remember telling one elder I could not read the Watchtower or Awake anymore because they depressed me.
You want to know his brilliant answer to that?
Just read the last paragraph of each article! It is always about the paradise! Just read that and think on that!

I knew a lot of Witnesses that were babyish. Their consciences were always being offended and they were upset about one thing or another. I'm glad I don't have to regularly deal with them now.

The way others react to us often says more about them that it does about us
So true nvr! But what a difficult lesson to learn!
I might add that sometimes (not always) those who claim someone is overly sensitive are in fact "insensitive" to the feelings and sensibilities of others.

Some persons here have very sharp tongues and very direct opinions. If a person does not have a thick skin here, forget it! If someone has a difference in opinion, I think it's usually unnecessary to put that person down. We have to try to play nice.
Of course, I'm all for defending yourself on the board. But I do think that we generally show respect for our friends here and that's what makes this place inviting.
