THE point is that if you aren't racist and use the n-word you are STUPID, but I believe that it's racist which is stupid.

I really do not know all the dynamics behind him using this language. Many persons are saying that he really is not racist. If that is the case, then he made those statements in poor judgement and should not lose his show.

But, in this day and age, that word should not be used by anyone of any culture.

It has negative conotations of past and current prejudice and racism against African-Americans in this country and we do not need to be reminded of such.

Stop using or saying the "N" word.

Hate to tell ya, but if you call a black person some choice names other than NGR, you're still gonna be labeled a racist.

Try it. Next time you want to use the N word, try... ignorant, illiterate, low life, jerk-off, a$$hole...whatever you like. If you're white, and you fight with a black person...you're already a racist in their view, period. It's just the norm. You can't beat the system.

Servin' up another full plate of hot juicy TRUTH.

Please do sell all Africian Americans short.

    Your statement Is not true.

"Try it. Next time you want to use the N word, try... ignorant, illiterate, low life, jerk-off, a$$hole...whatever you like. If you're white, and you fight with a black person...you're already a racist in their view, period. It's just the norm. You can't beat the system."

We do not consider all white persons racist just because there is name calling involved. Everyone involves in name calling. Anyone of any culture can be called ignorant, illiterate, low life, jerk-off, etc. But when an individual calls an African- American person the "N" word when that word has such negative and hurtful history behind it, yes then many African Americans might feel moved to label such a person as racist.

Please be fair and just when discussing this topic.

Why does our culture allow Dave Chapelle and other black comedians to use the N word and make racial jokes? If it is so hurtful and offensive then they should be the first to not use it and condem those that do.

Offensive terminology for instance because you're not my nigga. You're PWT. Dumbass maggot! Not directed at anyone. Just saying it's offensive.

I find the label/phrase of 'white trash' to be as equally offensive yet it is said with regularity on some major radio and television shows without a sound being heard from anyone. Ditto the term 'red neck'. As for Dog - what he said was in a private conversation to his own son - which goes to show that the family has some major issues going on inside. I wonder though if a tape of Denzel calling some white girl a piece of white trash or a cracker would make the same sort of noise if it was heard around the globe. I don't think so.

All that aside - I've never used a derogatory racial term for anyone ever. No need to because I don't see people in terms of race making them anything other than the person they are. sammieswife.

I like Dog. I like his show. I can't explain why he used the word cuz I'm not in his head, I don't know the dyaminics between Dog and his son and the girlfriend or why he was so upset. It was a private conversation that in my opinion shouldn't have gone public. If his show comes back I would watch it again because I really enjoyed it.

Oh and about black guys using the N-word - that's totally different, in no way related to what Dog did. I don't expect anyone outside of the black community to understand it (though I think some do). I personally rarely use the word. My hubby does use the word only around his black friends.

I got called a racist after I asked my neighbor to turn down her music. I didnt' even know who she was until I saw her and to be very honest, if I had seen she was a (scambling for appropriate term) african american I might not have asked.

She started screaming at me and calling me some very offensive names including one I needed someone else to explain to me.

I don't think I am a racist. I know I buy into some sterotypes for all the races including my own white trash scottish background.

    Bobbi

PS: now whenever she sees me she glares at me and mutters under her breathe. I am actually afraid of her. but not because of her colour, She is just a scary woman.
