Nice to meet you Trevarian
Thanks, but it's Trevanian.
hope to hear more from you on the board.
You probably won't hear too much from me. My message is simple, but people don't take too kindly to it.
Be honest. Think through the issues honestly, and then decide if you can live the dishonest life that Jehovah's Witnesses require you to lead.
It's as simple as that.
If you can deal with the cognitive dissonance, the raging in your brain, that says:
"This is crap."
"No it can't be crap. I've always believed this."
"But it sounds like crap."
"It can't be rubbish. My parents before me believed it."
"But it still sounds like nonsense."
"How could my dear parents have believed nonsense?"
"It's not their fault. But it really seems like life control."
"No, it's not life control. Everything I do is of my own free will. Every hour I turn in on my service report is my own free will."
"But they are making you do it."
"No, they're not. I get in my car and go on field service on my own. Nobody holds a gun to my head."
Well, then they have you truly in their grasp.
If one person honestly evaluates their own life in the context of this post, I'll be happy.
Be honest.
