I love a man to be a gentlemen and treat me with respect, gentleness, kindness, attentiveness, consideration and equality.
I also like a man to be masculine, charming, and witty.
That's not asking too much is it?!!

I for one really appreciate a gentleman. Mr Estee would have never got that title without being a gentleman.

What's this about holding doors for women? I've always thought it proper to hold the door for anyone behind me, regardless if they're a man or a woman. Am I the only one?
No. I think the same way...and eventually people stopped looking at me funny for holding the door and now I see everyone doing it. I like to think of myself (and you too, John Doe) as a trendsetter

I was offended, I may be a big girl but I'm not a fool. I have gotten this attitude from some men most of my life, that just because I'm tall and curvy I'm less of a woman and therefore don't need to be respected as a woman.I prefer gentlemen, I prefer men who think of me as a woman and not an amazon or a man with breasts.

They weren't men Mrs.J, they are little boys, intimidated by you no doubt. Any real man aka gentleman would see you as a beautiful woman. After all, its the truth.
This one is dedicated to you goddess, you! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tcRiXOONqf0
P.S. Not suggesting you are "big". Just love this song!!
Gosh, I"ve never thought of Josie as anything but a lady!

I thought you would get a kick outta of it, my seven year old LOVES that song, she heard me playing it just now and jumped outta bed, singing along, time to get her back into bed. Note to self: Use headphones from now on.

Your not the only one!! Once, I held a door open for a lady, and she got this attitude, called me a chauvinist, she could open her own doors, etc. I told her "Don't flatter yourself, lady, I hold the door open for EVERYBODY!! She stomped off in a huff, dunno why..

Tall and curvy is great!! All sizes, I just like women, and never treat them differently based on any physical characteristic.
I don't think women's preference has anything to do with holding doors or not holding doors, being a pig or not being a pig--it has more to do with the personality behind the actions. Whatever you do, do it well.
