My good friend at the time got a DUI he was an elder and the WT conductor. He did not get in trouble cause he was everybody's buddy. He claimed he was not drunk but "overserved"

This may be pretty gross to some.
My big ol jw friend was out drinking with her jw friends, (i don't usually get invited to these events...) when most got a little trashed. One of them has very bad gastric problems, and my buddy had to hold her up so she wouldn't mess herself. She later proceeded to explain that she actually had to help her sit on the toilet because she was that drunk. What a great christian example of how a young lady should act. My friend that is...hahahahahahaha!!!
How do they go and lie to themselves on Sundays and get trashed on Thursday thru Saturday? That almost makes them as bad as ud Catholics! LMAO!

Happened once when I was up at the hunting cabin. Everybody was drinking 'cept me (they only had Budweiser and it gives me headaches) and they wanted to go into town for a beer run. My friend was borderline sloshed and he grabs his keys and fires up the truck, I groan inwardly and head out to see if I can mitigate a disaster. Everybody else piles in (all with full beer cans plus a couple unopened "for the road" and they get going.
I told my friend to pull over about a mile down the road and coaxed him out of the driver's seat and I drove them the rest of the way. -

After I left...a young brother I went to high school with had a DUI. He crashed, was ejected from his 2 door sports car, and paralyzed for life. I heard that he was bitter. I am not sorry for him. He used to hang a gun out of his car to scare the other drivers on the road. In short, he was really, really wild outside of the Hall, but the pillar of a proper JW kid when inside. I couldn't stand the kid, and stayed far away from him.
In the end, fate did take care of his wild side.

A brother with an all-pioneer family.. I think this was before he was appointed MS. Anyway, his family was poor and asked for financial assistance for his bail from a sister who was a divorced single parent. Several months later he and his family (known for the typical pioneer pass time of gossip) accuse the sister of being drunk at a graduation party, although she was not. When she told the elders what was going on, they told her to be quiet or risk being DF'd for slander.
Every so often they would accuse others of the same thing.. me included. But as far as I know he was the only drunk. -
Honesty
Several brothers and sisters were publicly reproved because the local newspaper prints DUI Police Reports on a daily basis.
