Oh the HYPOCRISY! This is enough to make you spit or wonder why JWs live with their brains switched off!

    Watchtower, Nov 1st 2007 page 17:

'Haggai's words have also movtivated God's servants in more recent times during large projects related to the worship of Jehovah. In 1879 when the faithful and discreet slave class began publishing this journal, then called Zion's Watch Tower and Herald of Christ's Presence, it contained the following statement. 'Zion's Watch Tower has, we believe, Jehovah for its backer, and while this is the case it will never beg nor petition men for support. When He who says: 'All the gold and silver of the mountains are mind,' fails to provide necessary funds, we will understand it ito be time to suspend the publication.'

There then follows a, what I can only describe as a PETITION for the following ways to donate:

'Many set aside, or budget, an amount they place in the contribution boxes labelled 'Contributions for the Worldwide Workd'. Each mont, congregtations forward these amounts tot he office of Jehovah's Witnesses that serves their respective countries. Voluntary donations of money may also be sent directly to Watcht Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania, Attention Treasurer's Office, 25 columbi Heights, Brooklyn, New York, or to the branch office of Jehovah's Witnesses that serves your country. Checks sent to the above address should be made payable to 'Watch Tower.' Jewelry or other valuables may be donated as well. A brief letter stating that such items are outright givt should accompany these contributions.'

Then a furthur list of ways to give money to them:

    Conditional Donation Trust Arrangement

Charitable Planning: Insurance, Bank Accounts, Stocks and Bonds, Real Estate, Gift Annuity, Wills and Trusts.

Doesn't this come under begging or petitioning for money!? By their own words it is time for them to stop publishing!

The article ends with this baloney!

'It is true that he who says 'the silver is mine and the gold is mine' does not depend on our financial assistance in order to accomplish his work. Yet, Jehovah has dignified his servants witht he privilege of having a share in sanctifying his name...'

Those who were or are accounts servants, know how few individuals donate. A few with money give more for tax purposes. But those that are "poor" do not even bother to give $5 a month. People vote with their pocketbook. Some give locally but not a dime to the "worldwide work." Some congregations have a hard time even paying their utilities. And some congregations take out of the worldwide work money to pay their bills.

*** km 12/03 p. 7 Announcements ***As a reminder to the brothers handling the congregation accounts, donations placed in the boxes for the Worldwide Work and for the Kingdom Hall Fund are to be remitted monthly and should not be used for payment on a Kingdom Hall property loan or for any other congregation expense.

This is what is going to happen. The Witlesses are going to be caught between a rock and a hard place. They are going to start paying $4 or more a gallon for gas (already it is more than $3 in places). In many countries, gas is close to, or more than, $8 a gallon already. This means every hour of field circus is going to cost more money. Every time they have to go across town, they are going to be wasting more money.

At the same time, they are being told not to go to college and get a decent education. This is all but certain to burn them (the only time college is not necessary is when a person is working on a totally new paradigm or has already made it big in the music or entertainment industry). They are even being told to quit their decent jobs and get by on crap to make room for pioneering (remember, pioneers are going to be spending more for gas the more hours of field circus they put in). For sure, jobs in the window washing industry will not pay for the gas that it takes to waste all those hours in field circus.

The result is that there are going to be lots of families on the streets. Foreclosures are going to go up, between the higher gas prices, more field circus, and not being able to get better jobs. And, if they are not making enough for their own needs, where the fxxx are they going to find enough money to pay the Worldwide Pedophile Defense Fund extra? No matter how much you deride people for not paying enough money, there is no way to make $12,000 go any further.

I hope people also start seeing that they are getting zero or negative value for every dollar put in the Worldwide Pedophile Defense Fund. Then they are going to start putting in nothing but Zero Dollar Bills, Void Checks, and air even if they can afford more. I hope this leads to more Kingdumb Hell foreclosures. Then what are they going to do when interested people find out that they have no Hell because Mother got too greedy and would not help with expenses?

I agree with Sir 82. The paragraph he wrote could have come straight from a WT.

It only stands to reason that donations will go down. It takes more and more everyday just to get the necessities. With us, there would be nothing left to give them already. Also, I wonder how gas prices are going to affect the door-to-door circus, especially in rural areas. My guess is JW's will turn into telemarketers. Then they have to worry about the do-not-call list, spend money in court to establish their right to harrass people........ interesting.
