Is that the same Nathaniel Brandon whom Ayn Rand had an affair with and dedicated her book Atlas Shrugged to originally but then changed the dedication of it after she severed her ties with him and his then wife Barbara? It should be an interesting read :)

I think once we learn the truth about the "truth", we have more work to do. For some just knowing intellectually that what the Witness teach is enough to help us to be really well, But there are alot of undesirable things that developed in our learning process as we were growing up for the messages we recieved, (hope I am making sense)
edited to add: I think some JW's do grow up with self-esteem intact. Not all come away with low self-esteem.
So, I think sometimes if we are feeling stuck in our journey moving away from the JW teachings, we may need to take a look within ourselves and do some self-help. Some self-help books, alot of us have been in therapy/or are in it now.
Fine tuning who we become~~~~so to speak.
