If blondes really were that dumb...

  This brings up a mystery. There is a long-standing myth about blondes being so dumb. Then, why don't more of them become Jehovah's Witlesses? When I was in the territory, most if not all blondes refused the message while brunettes tended to be more receptive to it.

  Also, most of the blondes in the congregation were raised in it. They did not have any choice. And, when they grew up, a high percentage of them turned apostate. Of the ones that didn't, a very high percentage of them had too strong family ties that stopped them from severing all ties with the Watchtower Society. Very few were actually in there, volitionally, and remained there volitionally.

  And that allows for those that fell for the scam despite being very intelligent because they didn't have access to all the facts. True, a small percentage of blondes are really dumb (and that can be said for everyone). But, if the dumb blonde myth were true, I would expect more of them to come into the Tower even with today's technology that brings all the facts to one at the touch of a mouse button. As far as that goes, that is one more nail in the coffin of that myth.

  I never really thought about it before but you are right.

  All the blondes I knew were all raised in the truth, and all the converts were brunettes.

  Blondes not as dumb as the stereotype goes then!

  The only reason there is a dumb blondes myth is we are in an age of political correctness. In the past the butt of jokes people told were of dumb fill in the blank ethnic type person. We cant do that anymore due to all of the anti defamation societies and leagues. Blondes are not organized and since 75% of them come out of a bottle its not likely they will organize, unless clarol and revlon decide to lead the revolt.

  Man has a programed need to put someone or somebody down to make themselves feel better. For example the Christians have to put down the gays to make themselves feel superior, or better.

  I see you are 44, before you had a memory all of the jokes were about polish people. They switched to blondes when you started developing your awareness.

  The reasons that blondes are dumb have to do with being attractive. Most attractive girls, but particularly attractive blond-haired girls are favored from an early age and are told they are pretty. This is reinforced their entire lives by family, friends and strangers. They get treated better simply because of their looks, so they do not have the same reason or motivation to build their intelligence or personality. Their good looks get them better jobs. Don't shoot the messenger; there have been intensive studies to confirm this. I can't remember where I read it, but if I find it I'll follow up with a link.

  Now, for my theory as to why blondes may not become witnesses or tend to not stay a witness as long as others..... Maybe because the witnesses prey on people who have little self esteem and either poor or nonexistant networks of friends and family. Most blondes do not suffer with this problem. (see above). They usually have an overabundance of self esteem and an overinflated feeling of worth. They aren't easily preyed on by a group of fringe religious lunatics who shower them with love and attention to gain their favor. Blondes get that from everybody all the time! It's nothing new to them! The trick just doesn't work. And I think blondes might tend to leave the witnesses in droves because it is BORING! After all, blondes have more fun! Plus, they can attract a much wealthier husband outside of the witnesses because most witness men are dead beat poor people because they have no self esteem or education.

  By the way, I started out life as a redhead, but I'm pretty much blonde now. And no, I was never showered with attention because I am fat. And male. Plus, now I'm balding. Life sucks. Oh, if only I were a hot, skinny blonde chick. Life would be so grand..... Hee Hee.

  There's probably some truth to the above statement......I got mixed messages though growing up. On one hand, I was told how cute/pretty I was. On the other hand, I was constantly told I was stupid. Being told you're pretty does not balance out being told you're stupid, or at least it didn't with me. I took the criticism very much to heart and had absolutely no self esteem whatsoever. In grade school, the other girls tormented me because I was a Witness and said all kinds of shit about me, including the notion that I was ugly. Since I already had low self esteem, it was easy for me to believe I was not only stupid, but ugly on top of it and went all through public school and high school with this ingrained in me.

  In hindsight, I realize of course that these other kids were just being rotten, but it had a horrible lasting effect on me which affects me to this day. As far as I know, I've never been favored or got better treatment or a better job because I'm blonde and god knows I've never used it to my advantage (maybe I am a dumb blonde after all)

  lotsa blonds are faux blonds,which i believe is frowned upon by the dubs...could this have anything to do w/the lack of devout blonds?i see lots of mouseturd grey at the meetings when i go,im like the only screamin'suicide blonde there..{shh,its faux}..ill bet you dont see lots of lip plumping and skintight face lifting either..dubs are a male dominated religion,and like their women au natural and dowdy so as not to have to compete w/other perhaps 'worldly" men for them.just mho..its early,havent even finished sucking down my first tankard of coffee..give me time,ill mellow....

  Personally, I think a woman is attractive no matter what color her hair is. But, I do get just a tad turned off by all of the cookie cutter blondes out there. It's so cliche! Just be you! If you're a real blonde, hey great! If not, that's great, too. Imagine if all of the guys started dyeing their hair blonde? That would be too weird.
