Thanks Nvr.

A healthy dose of big-picture perspective is a good way to start the day.

NVR, I always get confused when you start to speak American.Anybody that ever rooted for the Eagles has to have a sense of humor.
They're killing me!
The Philadelphia Eagles are a football( American football ) team with great promise, but they never fail to disappoint.
Here's the typical fan...

The flashbacks of District Conventions at Veterans Stadium make me think...
Jehovah's Witnesses are a religion ( American religion ) with great promise, but they never fail to disappoint.

Good post, I remember watching the movie Hotel Rwanda, based on a true story about the 1994 Rwandan conflict, and thinking, what do I really have to bitch about, great movie btw. It's easy to get stuck in the past and be filled with hate, but when you consider what life is like for millions upon millions on the planet, we did not have it that bad, truly, we didn't.
While being shunned and going thru witness detox per say, is not easy by any means, it is not in the same league as watching your family slaughtered before your eyes. IMO

BIG D
Gives us many reasons to remember to always show love to one another, and thought we fail, to not get hardhearted with hate, so easy to do , then we become like those in the wtbs

This is a really good thread.
I can honestly say that at least once a week I thank my lucky stars that I was born in a first world country with a dry house, hot water, beautiful furnishings, a car, all the clothes I want, the choice of any food I want.
Im so lucky. My family is so lucky.

NVR, Good reminder of what its like in other parts of the world. I try to keep that in mind. I agree, when we compare what we have here with what others are suffering around the world, we could always have it worse.

I appreciate the reminder.
We must be thankful for what we have.
That is contentment.
