This might be fodder for a new thread, but if you are a Christian, and believe that you're going to heaven when you die, do you think there is a remote chance that your pets might be there with you?

Our dog was over 15 years old when we put him to sleep in June 2007.

When I was a kid, we had a horse in its thirties--don't recall the specific age.

I had a plecostomus (algae-eating fish) that lived nearly 9 years. It saw a bunch of changes in the tank.
Fish would live a few years and new fish would live a few more. He finally passed away this summer while
    I was on vacation.

My dog Allie (100 lbs of husky/shepard/lab mix) lived to 14. My, Cat cleo is still going strong at 14, she is a tiny thing, so I expect she will live quite a while longer.

We had a dog, also husky-shepherd mix, who lived to be 16. One cat lived to be 17 and the other one about 14. We got them the same day from different litters. All of them were pets for our children who didn't take them with them when they married or moved out. And yes, we had all 3 during the same years.

Now we are pet free, but also kid free, so we are also free.
