Sounds like good advice on the surface, agreed. They asked me to DA myself for doing so. They don't really like Jesus over there.

    Jeff

    Yes indeed !

I know people that were DF'd for similar !

You can talk about Jesus as long as you talk about the Watchtower's teachings more !!!

I don't do this often Aleman... but on a serious note:
Ask your elders some questions, around the UN affiliation, doctrine changes, and the harm in reading opposing view points. Gauge their reactions.
    Then do some reading.
If the JWs have the truth, then certainly it can stand up to scrutiny.
Otherwise learn to reason. Learn to think. Make up your own mind, be it stick with the Dubs or set yourself free.

Welcome Aleman. BTW I didn't leave God or Jesus. I left the organization called Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, aka Jehovah's Witnesses. I got tired of being a robot and puppet.

Funny thing though, Aleman, why is that they make convention talks all about being obedient to the faithful and discreet slave?

( which encompasses all of the annointed, but we don't follow the annointed.)

They want you faithful to the organization, not to god.

They print veiled threats if you question the governing body, they admit they are fallible, but yet not questionable?

They even admit to following false teachings and that all must preach those same teachings,

even when they know they are wrong,

until the governing body comes out with new light and makes changes to the doctrines, YET AGAIN.

    Just curious,

how often does the ''holy spirit'' directing the governing body have to get it wrong

before you realize it's just a bunch of men guessing and taking a 2/3 vote on what to print?

You're the one following man, the ANTI-CHRIST.

Does this mean you welcome my opinion?

Certainly. This is a discussion board. The quality of the discussion is directly related to how well you respond to challenges to your position. Are you up for it?

People are sinners, this everyone knows, more now than before.

Umm, "all people are sinners" is a belief of bible-believing Christians only, a subset of the world population. Not "everyone".

I would also challenge "now more than before". I know it is hopeful thinking that the world is getting steadily worse. This allows for the belief of armageddon-soon that much more appealing. I am darn certain that I am happier as a Canadian than say, a Hun in the third century, or a peasant in the ninth.

However just because of the acts of one person doesn't condem everyone who is in the org.

That is true. Would you agree, however, that an organization should be held responsible for how they deal with their sinners? Is the organization free of guilt if they attempt to cover up the sin?

Well if its reasonable and dose not trample on your god given conscious than these are just two clues to at lest stop and read it further. But ultimately search the scriptures out yourself, and yes don't listen to the GB when it says don't use other books but theirs and meet in groups and so on, dig for the truth you will find it if do, and of course pray for help.

So tell me Aleman, what should I do if I believe the JW position on blood and fractions to be a big mistake? And oftentimes a DEADLY MISTAKE.

    JUST LAST WEEK:

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/shropshire/7078455.stm

Just like the Watchtower's stand against vaccinations and organ transplants were big mistakes that had to be dropped altogether.

You simply cannot disagree on blood today. In fact you have to TEACH IT to all bible studies and interested ones to be a JW today. So what do you suggest in this case?

Care to have a debate on blood? I am afraid that would be a big mistake for you.

How about shunning those that disassociate from the JW's without practicing sin or leaving God and Christ? Where is that scriptural principle found in the bible?

You see Aleman, we have two issues right off the bat that the WTS is wrong about, and which can (and does often) cause great hardship to many. So what do you suggest in such cases here?

And Aleman, there is MUCH MORE WHERE THAT CAME FROM.

How about all those failed end of the world, in writing, predictions?

What about the alternative service rules forced on all JW's for 50 years and then casually dropped?

What about the rape requirement mandating women fully resist?

And sex with animals or homosexuality not breaking the marriage ties?

    AND MANY MORE.

Was God behind the writings of those laws.

AND THEN SIMPLY CHANGED HIS MIND?

You see Aleman, you will have much explaining to do here if you want anybody to come running back anywhere.

Let's see what you have to say about these things first.

And Aleman, why can't I wear a nice and neat and clean beard and carry a microphone?

    Please do tell why.

    Have a good one Aleman.

Return to the truth and allow the light shine on you like it has on me. Follow Jehovah and his son King Jesus, not the sinnful people that are in the congragation or WTBS. Just Jehovah.

    -Aleman

Um that would be kind of hard seeing as I haven't left the truth technically and I am in good standing with Jehovah's people.
