This is how wrongful disfellowshippings happen

    Hello Simon!

it must be like a disfellowshipping

Wrongful disfellowshipping is what I wrote...

Perhaps Blake and Carl are at a conference? Are staying in the same hotel, perhaps in the same suite, thus possibly sharing an IP or even a computer?

Being deleted off an internet site for breaking the site rules is nothing like being disfellowshipped.

But "wrongful" deleting would be, eh? My concern is centered around "wrongful".

Pardon my french but I would have thought whichever schmuch ( I'm thinking it was Karl) it was that wrote this little jewel below would have mentioned that he were "staying in the same hotel, perhaps the same suite, thus possibly sharing an IP or even a computer" with the other douchebag...

Woah, I just figured it out. No, really folks. I don’t know what this is. I’m not that guy. He’s from Texas. I live here in Pensacola, Florida. I don’t know how these number match up or exactly what they mean, but there is no way we can be the same person. And this is a new computer, just got, so this can't be right.

AnneB: this is a discussion board owned by Simon. For all practical purposes it's part of his house. He can run his own home anyway he likes. And unlike most real homes, he's put the rules on the wall where everybody can see them.

One of the things about families is members get to treat each other in ways that won't be tolerated from an outsider. People that are part of the family, so to speak sometimes call each other names, yell, etc. You can yell at your kid brother if you feel like it, I can't. It's the same way here. For the newbie to charge in throwing accusations around is rude and unacceptable, if he does that in Simon's house he's gone to be shown the door.

With respect AnneB, we've seen it all before.

I know how to check IPs and other things to see if it really is a shared internet connection or a single person trying to jerk people around. The combination of technical things not making sense PLUS a story with more holes in it than an episode of Dallas and requests for people to send personal information = someone up to no good.

So they are deleted. End of story.

    I believe that's called "abuse".

    To Angharad:

What about the OTHER TWO accounts that are using this IP address that have very similar usernames AND emails addresses?

Who knew? That wasn't public information at the time of my writing.

To Simon, a simple if then statement:

The combination of technical things not making sense PLUS a story with more holes in it than an episode of Dallas and requests for people to send personal information = someone up to no good.

If this is the case then it really is the end of the story.

JeffT: His talk about cliques makes it sound like he'd discovered Republican undercover agents in the Hilary Clinton campaign staff.

    Ssshhhh! That's operation 'October Suprise'.

Ever had two kids arguing and you've told them your decision is final and one of them still wants the last word?
