Raking Leaves

Just got in from raking leaves. It will be spring before they all fall off the oak trees in my yard. Maybe I should have them all cut down. I like the shade too much for that, and I love trees, just not the raking leaves. Maybe I should just leave nature alone and let them stay where they are and I wouldn't have to mow in the summer. Am I getting lazy or old, or maybe both?

I love when my yard is covered in leaves.

Right now it looks like someone spilled a giant box of cornflakes.

Personally, I always liked the look of leaves on the ground in fall. You can always pay a student to do a yard cleanup in the spring.

At the rate we're going, there are going to be leaves blocking the view of my Christmas tree right up until January or even later. What I wanted was for them to waste their time and gas trying to talk to me, only to find out that I am just about impossible to catch (they might as well surf the network channels for reruns of Nanny and the Professor as try to actually schedule a hounding session with me and get me to actually show up for it).

I paid two boys to rake mine up in the front yard.........but leaving them in the back yard..........I think it would be easier to take down my fence and let them blow somewhere else!!!!

That's what my neighbors do every year. I work like crazy getting mine raked and they just wait and let the wind take care of theirs. And where do they end up? You guessed it. Slackers.

I think leaves should be raked by those who raked them prior to mankind being here on the earth!!

Seriously, I enjoy raking them, getting out in the fresh air accomplishing something until the next day or until they are all gone. Makes the yard look good also.

My friends rake them around their fence line. In the spring they don't need to weed eat where the leaves were. They disintegrate and form a mulch.

LOL! You should live where I do. I never have to rake-it's too windy
