    Purps:

    People can surprise ya you know?

    Elders and servants do not have greater access to children than anyone
    else. And if parents let their
    children associate with ones because they are elders or servants more
    freely, or do not listen to them,
    then that is their fault. Not the fault of the religion.

    Just let me at 'em I swear.

    This person needs a serious lesson..........grrrrr

    Thanks, I was very motivated by the letter you posted on another thread. And used most of it in the emails I sent out. You inspired me to get active!!

    Purps:

    I have to tell you all, I got the nicest message from Barbara Anderson.......She is so very humble in her efforts and she is exhausted. I am happy to help get the word out, in her efforts will help the children.

    Keeping the childrens well being forefront keeps me motivated with love.

    Any JW that calls out "apostates" for exposing this or saying it is just propaganda shows where their motivation is from. Childrens safety should be universal, foremost in all peoples, no matter race, religion, ethnic background, age, sex, OK, my rant for the day!!!!

    love,

    edited to add:

    The problem is that the story and the apostate propaganda state that
    > because the accused
    > is or was a ministerial servant or elder, he had or has greater access
    > to children. And that statement is false.
    >
    > Elders and servants do not have greater access to children than anyone
    > else.

    Technically. And It depends on the congregation. The congregation have
    more trust with Elders and Servants by nature of their appointment by
    the holy spirit via the scriptures. In regards to congregational
    issues access to children is greater. More so when guidelines are
    overlooked or forgotten. The Law suit is based on the congregations
    that overlooked said guidelines. The government here in the USA looks
    at Elders in a congregagtion as enforcer of watchtower policies, which
    we are in a sense. So when an Elder or Servant bypass a guideline or
    overlook it, the lawyers are going to go after who has the most cash,
    which is the local branch.

    > And if parents let their

    I agree, but not according to the Law. Elders and Servants are in
    position of trust, in the congregation, they have to be.

    > But because those things happened, does not mean that it is right for
    > them to show pictures of
    > Kingdom Halls or the NWT or act like there is some plot or conspiracy.

    Welcome to the real world or "satan's world". There is not plot, but
    there are guidelines. serious ones. for example you can not sue a
    brother. This is why I don't do buissness with a brother. Any
    buissness entails risk. I like to cut my risk to zero, and have my
    option to sue in court. I can get very technical here, if you want.

    PS,

    Thanks for your untiring efforts to keep this story "on the radar" of as many as you can. It was a segment that could have easily been missed, because it was only 3 minutes long and airing during a time when many people were travelling or getting ready for the holidays.

    Since a large segment of our population gets their news and information mainly from the internet, it's good to use that tool to highlight news like this.

    There will always be people who care more for the organization than for justice and protection of little kids. Those loyalists are the kind the WT Society is counting on. Thankfully the WT Society has nothing to gain and everything to lose in its battle to protect itself in the face of such obvious problems that run in the undercurrents of their organization.

    Getting more responses to the email I sent. Does anyone have the letter this person is talking about?

    I hope the brothers re-read the letter the society
    sent out to the congregations some time ago about the
    society's position on such cases. It was very to the
    point and encouraging.

    I still don't see how anyone in the congregation would
    have such access to a child- so much time alone, an
    adult male with a small child.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    The problem is that the story and the apostate
    propaganda state that
    because the accused
    is or was a ministerial servant or elder.
    You don't need a lot of time to molest a child. Keeping in mind the
    preferance of a molester, he can get his jollies by jut putting his
    hand on certain parts of a child.
    a "greeting" in the bathroom ( "my boy you are growing..."). And what
    about service? where a 13 yr old will be partner with brother sicko
    for a few hours... a Molester can get his jollies just by questions
    and answers:
    " hey sonny boy, have your parents talked to you about the
    incorrectness of porn and masturbation?" " did you see the latest
    article of the Awake?"
    If brother sicko is an elder or servant, even if the child related the
    events to his parents, parents who have an inate trust in the Body of
    elders and servants may view this as sherpading.
    A sick mind will find a way.
    My personl rule of thumb, I don't go to service with a minor. That the
    parents job. Not mine.
    Now please don't take my reasoning and opinion out if whack, I just
    want to point out the obvious, and the obvious is the congregation
    trust the local body of elders and servants. And when the trust is
    broken, it will hurt, more so in a court of law where your donations
    to world wide work now goes off and pays for some kids therapy.
    I posted all the articles and videos on several sites. One site where there are lots of witnesses. I got ripped a new one...called an apostate and a liar. And this was the last comment I received to my thread, after a witness posted a blog report about Vicki Boer, calling her a liar.
    "After reading this information you provided ****, this brought to my mind one good example why the Watchtower Society would expel or disfellowship some from the congregation. It is not out of meanness or exaggeration, but when something this awful does occur it is justifiable.
    Also, this made me think of the pro-active approach that the Elders take (under the direction of the WTS) when dealing with such severe cases. Those reported are thoroughly investigated and a judgment is made as to disfellowshipping. If the elder is the one committing this act, and found guilty, they are immediately expelled because they are supposed to be leading the congregation not hurting them.
    Thanks for providing this information to give a well rounded view of how this serious sin and crime is handled in the congregations."
    They are so deep in denial, they can't even fathom thinking about anything.
    This one is really brainwashed!!!
    Where is your faith in Jehovah that He will take care of this. I'll tell you where. It ain't there!
    You see, this is what apostates do, ...
    they talk against the brothers and Jehovah's organization. They run ahead and they show no measure of true faith.
    Maybe there is something we do not understand, but, if we believe Jehovah is in control, we will wait on him to change it.
    There is no ifs, ands, or buts about it.
    You said it yourself when you spoke against the brotherhood. ARE YOU AN APOSTATE??? Our works define who we are, not just talk.
    If you do not believe you are, and it is not your intention to be, then you must do some real soul searching within yourself. Ask Jehovah to help you. Have faith that he will.
    Trust the judgement of the organization. Do you really believe they encourage this type of conduct by taking no actions???
    We really do not know what goes on behind closed doors but we DO KNOW that this is the truth and we have no where else that offers eternal life like Jesus foretold. Why can we not demonstrate trust in God's word and his ability to manage his organization.
    That last response you posted Purps sounds exactly like an elder who told me at my botched JC meeting earlier this year, " I'm concerned you don't have the faith that the organization is handling the child abuse scandals in the proper way. We need to have the faith in the governing body . " I just mumbled under my breath something undetectable, probably a four letter word. LOL! They are so brainwashed ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper
