Does anyone remember that picture of the scarlet-colored beast WITH crowns?

She was hot- even when she was drinking blood and riding on the back of that three headed animal, she was one fiesty hot chick.

I have nothing to add, just wanted to put it out there that I did not mind turning the page and seeing her all wild and crazy, and drinking blood. My kind of woman!

Or guy, or whatever. But if your gonna be with a vagina-carrier, might as well be with one that drinks blood and kills people, and stuff. At lest in my opinion anyways...

I remember that being more La la la, animals and people living together happily. But I think it was definitely around the same time.

Oh yeah, it was all kinds of la la la--until you got towards the end of the book. Then there were all types of things to frighten your young, tender, heart.

I remember a picture of the earth opening up (during Armageddon, of course) and swallowing adults, children, cars and a dog(!). Since I was an animal lover, this really upset me. I remember thinking that there must be something wrong with God if he was mean enough to take his wrath out on innocent animals.

Yeah, you never should have. But there was one particular picture that caused a stir because it was scarlet, but had crowns. Some of the JW's of the time tried to dismiss it, saying it was actually the fur on the beast's head and not a crown. But somebody dug around and managed to find the original picture.

I THINK it was a Revelation book picture of the wild beast (not scarlet) that had been lifted, flipped, colored scarlet, and dropped into a Watchtower. This may have been longer ago than I am thinking, perhaps as long as 10-12 years while I was still a JW.

I've got the bound volumes but that is a heck of a lot of work to find it! Could you possibly use the CD Rom to narrow it down to what article(s) it may be? I don't have the CD-Rom on my computer at this time...

Hmmm...Apparently someone got the beasts all mixed up.

Rev 12 describes The Great Red Dragon (Satan) as having seven heads (with crowns) and ten horns (no crowns)

Rev 13 describes The Beast ascending from the sea (abyss?) as having seven heads (no crowns) and ten horns (with crowns)

Rev 17 describes The Scarlet Beast (whom the woman was riding) as having seven heads (no crowns) and ten horns (no crowns)

I remember the picture. I tried to discuss this with a book study group once, and got blank stares and cold shoulders.

Yes, and what about an innocent car? What a cruel waste, especially if it was a low mileage vehicle with new tires.

    Now, that's funny.

Just checked 18 different depictions of the scarlet Beast over the years, and none of them have crowns.

I don't know if this helps or not:

The book Babylon The Great Has Fallen - God's Kingdom Rules had a picture of the scarlet colored image of the wild beast with no crowns. A few years later, an issue of The Watchtower used the exact same artwork to depict the wild beast itself. This picture was in the two-tone printing of 60's era Watchtowers. (Black/light blue in this case) I believe this picture depicted the beast with crowns and world powers captioned over the heads.
