A Wii would be the best bet if you can get one.

Unlike most of the comments I have never had any problems with my 360 and I do leave it on for far too long!

In the past I have found microsoft to offer pretty good support for the old xbox, sending me a new power supply for free about 3 years after I bought it.

For an 11 year old girl, i'd go with the Wii.

My 10 year old daughter loves our Wii. That's what I'd suggest, but my 7 year old son woulld kill for a 360. Can't please them all but remember whatever you do get, she'll like.

Unconfused...I would definately agree with my husband..Caedes, that the Wii is your best bet for your lucky little girl. She would love the games and the controllers are easy to use. I don't much like shooting games myself, only because I can't seem to shoot the opponents, just my husband when we are playing 2 player...oops! But the Wii has lots of girly games that she'll like and then when she gets older, I think they have lots of other games that she can "grow" into. So if you couldn't tell...my pick would be a Wii! Good luck in getting one. We've been trying for quite some time, but we seem to just miss them. If you are looking at stores, you need to call early in the morning, right when they open to see if they have gotten a load in, then rush in if they have, that seems to be the suggestions I've gotten so far.

I have all three- only used the Wii until I got Singstar for my PS3, now I love them both equally. But I never really use the 360; I think it has the best graphics/ but men seem to like the Xbox the most.

360 and Playstation 3 don't really add anything new - just improved graphics (and hi-def dvds if you are so inclined)

The Wii is actually a new evolution in gaming - it is awesome! I have one and would recommend it - its cheaper too (so are the games)

The Wii is social gaming for everyone. The others are mainly for blokes to play footie games on :)

Thanks everyone - I'm going with the Wii except for the fact they seem to be out of stock in MAINE!

Anyone have a source for one? They are double on EBay and Amazon.
