In about 15 minutes, newsradio 710 (AM) in Seattle will have a discussion of the death of 14-year-old JW Dennis Lindberg.

If you are local to Seattle, tune in!

You can stream the show here:

WE HAVE A CELEBRITY IN OUR MIDST....(kidding purps...lol)

Hell, I would be nervous too...don't know why..same reason I hate answering machines...

you sounded good purps... isnt it great the internet lets us listen to radio talk shows not broadcast or syndicated in our area?

I listened to the segment you were on (click the progress bar at the half way mark..that's where Leslie's call starts), but will have to listen to the program later...

HEY PURPS..THE LINK...IS THAT LINK GOING TO STAY UP?

So it appears the Watchtower Society is acting like they are pro-choice, the opposite of what most faiths believe. Problem here is that he made no choice at all. The Society did. They chose death-conduct unbecoming of people of faith.

Is it possible to download the MP3 file and listen to it offline? We don't have broadband available here and it's maddening trying to listen online. It buffers for 2-3 minutes and then plays 30 seconds. Over and over. Thanks.

The JW at the end really skirted around the question about going to heaven ...."uh uh a certain number." and gave no clear indication of what his hope really is......

To me, he knew how stupid and far fetched it all sounds.

You can download the mp3 file by right clicking on the link and choosing "save target as"...
    Nothing to it.

Now then, I feel bad for the kid. The real problem that judges, doctors and others "outside" do not seem to realize is that these poor victims are not given unbiased information with which to make an informed decision to start with! Believers are coerced into a "faith" that is built upon distortions if not outright lies and then goaded and manipulated to uphold demonstrably phony "beliefs". So how can a judge or doctor reach an unbiased decision with that kind of slanted "testimony"?

Notice that the two jw callers had the same thought...the bible tells us to abstain from blood. No details, just that statement to back their belief. You might get the impression that they were just repeating a mantra. If you heard enough witnesses give that reply you could be sure of it!

Nothing here you people don't already know...I'm just seeing if I can still type. :)

The wife and I just finished listening to the whole broadcast via the link provided.

I don't feel the judge had enough time to evaluate that that 14 year old kid was "mature" enough to make that decision.

Also, obviously to us, the judge and radio show host doesn't have enough knowledge about j.w.'s to realize the repercusions of a j.w. having a blood transfusion.

As for the part about not being a danger to anyone else because of this decision, the followers of Jim Jones and David Koresh had the "same choice". NONE !!!!!!!

Since the airing of this, there are a million things I wish I would have said.
I have huge panic attacks with stuff like that.
Kerry Louderback-Wood is going to do an interview Monday at another radio station KVI out of Seattle,
I will try to post the time, so we can all listen.
