In my work, woman tend to be higher maintenance = more work for me. I don't mind busting my butt for a VP, (I might get an attaboy.) I will never get anything; but an STD, from a billing or customer service, lackey. Flame on ladies.

37 years in the work force and working with both gender side by side within a team concept i have to say that men get along much better than women.
Women don't even get along with one another. When a team was made up of men only, there was less tension and got along just fine.
This was my experience which might be completely different than yours.
No offense to you ladies but we knew exctaly when it was the time of the month. WATCH OUT

It really depends on the person. I've worked for idiots both male and female. I've worked for very cool people both male and female.
Personality is a bigger key then gender.

In the past I've had good and bad bosses of both sexes. So for me gender doesn't really matter. What does is competance and personality.

me personally made the experience that a female boss more likely makes weired emotional decisions. my two females i worked for were completely cool one day and freaked out the other. i experienced this with a male too, but less often. so somehow i shoudl say i prefer a male boss. but i dont know whether this has anything to do with the average or not. i would prefer to say i dont care whether my boss is female or male.

haha this reminds me of the horrible stories i hear all day from my wife who works in an enviroment with nearly everyone female :-D they're fighting each other every day with words while maintaining a "everythings fine" masquerade to the outside. in my job there are very few girls and we're all just friends and if somethings wrong we talk about it openly and thats it. but i think those girls at my wifes workplace are just idiots.
